So many reviews make this seem like an inviting place for me to check out. Mind you I see ads on FB all the time advertising how they will help you bring out your WIC groceries if you order online… so I’m under the impression it’ll be a cool place to look at healthy food for my toddler and maybe even find some WIC covered options….
But don’t bother.
First off, They call themselves a mother’s market so of all stores this one is the first one I’ve ever encountered where the carts aren’t designed to hold a baby/toddler. Like wait what? Just little carts for your groceries. Ok so I’m holding my toddler in my arm I can’t push a cart with one arm… I turn around and look for an answer to this confusing situation and I’m very much ignored by every being in there. Usually mothers are pretty nice to each other. But ok I can carry my toddler for a minute and see what’s in there.
But after walking through the store I don’t see a single thing marked as WIC. I can’t look up on my app with one freaking hand what I might be able to buy. Prices don’t seem appealing at all. Not a single employee makes eye contact with me to see if maybe they can explain what I’m missing.
I was the only one in there that was obviously a mother. Clearly I was wrong about what I assumed this place was; a market for mothers. Not even.

Read moreGood experience here on my first visit. I usually try to avoid this area by El Toro and The I-5, it seems to be always so busy.
We came to get some fresh guacamole and a few other things that stuck to our hands on the way to the cashier hahaha.
They were short on cashiers yesterday, Saturday, so the lines were a bit long. The manager said a few people called out so they were short handed. I understand that.
Can’t really comment on prices, just got what I needed and left, I usually don’t shop there, so I probably won’t be back in while.
Store was clean, staff was ok....
Read moreMother's is just New seasons with different branding and less good/variety of baked goods. If you're rich and vegan have at it, but otherwise just go to Ralph's a little farther down El Toro. Or go to trader joes.. high quality but still fair price (their spiced cider is to die for). I got a spinach and egg white burrito made by them, 8$, and it's just ok. Their staff is very nice though similar to...
