Advance Auto Parts — Local services in Lake Geneva

We came here today to drop off some returns through UPS and to get some tools. We were met with a very rude man who seemed to only be concerned with the man in line before us. We spent 10 mins waiting for him while he and the customer just chatted at the counter. When we finally got up to the front, he seemed very bothered by the fact that we had multiple packages and were holding him up from chatting with the same guy as before. I thanked him, and he looks around me, says "thank YOU sir" to the guy behind us, completely ignoring me. I tell him i also wanted to buy some screwdrivers. He says "oh you want to make a purchse too?" As he sighs and begrudgingly signs into the system to check us out. Then when we leave, I say thank you again, and he ingores us once again, and waves the guy behind us over. Not that one customer really matters that much, but I will not be coming back here. I try to be very understanding generally and rarely write reviews unless the service was exeptionally good or bad.. but this interaction really...

I stopped in to Advance Auto Parts in Lake Geneva Wisconsin New Years Eve 2016 driving a car that had to be jumped to get into their lot.

Andy from Advance Auto: recommended 2 different batteries installed the one I chose for free cleaned out the battery compartment and cleaned corrosion off of the connectors Hooked some contraption under my dash the preserved all of my radio and seat settings as he switched the battery. Was very personable and pleasant. Based on my general feeling that Andy had gone above and beyond, I tried paying him extra $$ and he refused to take the extra cash saying it was all part of the job.

Later that night I was at a dinner party relaying how great the experience was and one of my friends piped up saying "I was just there yesterday and had the best parts experience...

Terrible business. I bought a Resistor for my Chevrolet truck and it had a limited life time warranty that should cover defect. After having to replace it 11 days after the first fault everything was great until today when i started my truck up and had no fan. I called at my lunch break only to get Tina. I explained the situation and after describing my last replacement and everything went back to working find after the exchange she tried to tell me I had to buy a new blower motor and a new resistor. A 30 sec google search will reveal that the Blower motor resistor is a Junk part that goes out consistently for mid2000s chevys. After getting to Advanced after work I had to deal with her trying to sell me on getting the blower motor when it was a 10 min exchange of the resistor and...
