I came in needing prom dress alterations. My first experience was wonderful, she was really nice and explained to me everything that needed to be done. When I came back to pick up the dress (roughly two weeks later), not enough was taken off of my waist. She said maybe I had lost weight, and she would take it in for an extra $40. I hesitantly agreed, although it was established between us that it was a drastically significant amount that needed to be trimmed, and my weight has been consistent for the majority of my life. I weighed myself when I got home, and it was the same number it has always been. My body could not change that much in a matter of two weeks or less. I work in retail so I understand that accidents happen, and I did appreciate her work; so I asked for a compromise of an additional $20 (instead of $40), because no weight was lost. Her attitude toward me immediately changed. She said there was not much she could do because it was "already discounted" which I was completely unaware of. She gave me $6 off, handed me my dress and that was the end of it. I was very disappointed that a small business such as Elvira's would not put the customer first. I feel extremely taken advantage of, and will never do my business there again. I encourage you to do the same, unless you would like to be taken...

Elvira is INCREDIBLE!!! She custom made my rehearsal dinner dress from my mother’s wedding gown and it was more beautiful than I could’ve ever imagined. I didn’t know how to change it into something modern and she took the old dress and created something completely new and beyond amazing. She also did the alterations for my wedding gown and they could not have turned out more perfect! Elvira was genuinely excited for me and you could tell she put a lot of time and effort into making sure everything was done perfectly. Elvira just made our daughters wedding dress. She made it from a vision photo that she found and I have to say...she completely knocked it out of the park! The dress was a vintage looking dress made from high quality lace and make an under dress as well as a lace wrap with a train and a bustle. It is so gorgeous and she was beautiful. A custom made dress costs a little more but you have to remember there are a lot of hours going in to making it and if you make it from good material there is a cost to that too. This woman is a wonderful person and her dresses are top notch!...
