Read more20 Front Street is a lovely small venue in downtown Lake Orion. Seating is about 90 and there really isn't a bad seat in the house (there's not enough room). Acoustics are excellent, the atmosphere is intimate and cozy. The folks who run the place are dedicated to supporting the arts, and this is clearly a labor of love. They keep the ticket process simple without fees, and this is a very economical place to visit.
The venue has a small cafe attached with baked goods, coffee, tea, kombucha, and the like. Downstairs is an ice cream parlor. Before the show or between sets these are well worth checking out.
The 20 Front Street folks have recently started hosting events at Wildwood Amphitheatre, which is a good outdoor venue a few miles away. They have the same friendly dedicated approach with minimal fees, and the one concert we've seen there was...
Read moreI like the fact that every seat is a good seat. It holds about 90 people in 5 rows at the time of my visit. There are 2 stairways to access the rows. A little confusing where to enter for a first timer. To be honest it doesn't matter from what I could tell, I went to the right side of the building and went into the tea house. Walk through a doorway and your at the entrance on the left side of the building. The left side entrance puts you right by the washrooms and the entrance to the concert hall. The decor is very well kept. Also this is an Accessible Concert Hall. Not sure how well seating would be if you can't transfer to the bench but walkers and wheelchairs can access the building and at least the men's washroom was Accessible too. This is a great value for your money on the...
