Wine Social — Restaurant in Lake Orion

Wine Social helped host two big events and made them both very special — our wedding shower and wedding day.

We had our wedding shower at the Wine Social and we opted for the Mimosa Bar which was a crowd favorite! We had the whole space to ourselves and we were allowed to decorate it prior to it opening to the public. It was a perfect layout with my husband and I opening presents by the fireplace. The bartender was so sweet and even teared up at one of the speeches!

For the backyard wedding, Wine Social supplied the wine, bartending services and overall service experience day of. We also did a wine/food tasting prior to the wedding with both the Wine Social team and our chef at VanWagoner Catering. The two worked so well together and acted as one team which made all of the logistics go very smoothly. We received several compliments from our guests on the wine choices!

I have been to the Wine Social multiple times but the last time I went I had an experience I wanted to share…

I came in with a friend for a drink and we sat at the bar. A few minutes later a man a few seats down inserted himself in our conversation. After normal conversation he started to make comments that made us uncomfortable.

There were 3 bar tenders working and every one of them came to check on us. They were doing more than asking if we wanted another drink—they could tell we were uncomfortable and were making sure we weren’t in an unsafe situation. At one point the male bartender came and started mixing drinks next to us until we got our bill and could leave.

The service and menu at Wine Social had always been outstanding. But I will never forgot this experience as a women and I would like to thank the staff for creating such a safe and positive environment...

Beautiful place. Nice drinks once we got them. Great music by the DJ. My daughter and I sat outside where there was only one wait staff. She never came to our table. One of us had to go to the bar twice before we even got our first drink. Upon the second trip, we also ordered a charcuterie board. The drinks were brought to the table by my daughter after the second trip to the bar. The drinks were very good. They were part of the seasonal drink choices. Someone from the kitchen brought the board, and that is the last we saw of any staff at our table. The food was a great selection. I will try to go there again with hopes of having better service. It was so nice to see that an older building in downtown Lake Orion has...
