Nutz About Chocolate — Restaurant in Lake Orion

My husband got a box of chocolates for me from Nutz About Chocolate for Valentine’s Day. It was packed with my favorites, which he picked out, and was extremely reasonably priced. It was by far a better deal (both in price, quality and presentation) than the heart boxes you get at the grocery store.

In addition to the chocolate box, I purchased a few items there for my husband for Valentine’s Day (neither of us knew the other had stopped at the shop). I got the chocolate covered strawberries that were the best I’ve ever had- and I must admit, I really do love chocolate covered strawberries and have tried many different brands. Then box I purchased had 6 very large, red chocolate covered strawberries that had the perfect amount of juice. These were clearly made within hours of buying them, and that freshness made the presentation and taste extraordinary. I also got the “milk chocolate bacon box.” The box had two types of products. One was chocolate cover bacon strips - and combination of crisp bacon & chocolate is wonderful. The other was chocolate covered pretzels, peanut butter and bacon pieces. That was unexpected and delicious. We already love the chocolate covered peanut butter cups at Nutz, but these were simply amazing.

All-in-all, Nutz About Chocolate is a fun store to poke around, has gift boxes that are well presented and thoughtful, delicious chocolates and cupcakes, AND they get their raw materials and packaging from sustainable resources. In addition, I stopped by the shop around 5:30 pm on Valentine’s Day, and the owners, Tina and Joe, were pleasant and patient with each customer (and there were many)...even after what I can only imagine was a VERY hectic shopping day (seeing as how Valentine’s Day is all about the chocolate and flowers!).Thanks Nutz About Chocolate for a great Valentine’s Day...

This is a wonderful place to go for the best cupcakes on earth! It seems everything they touch turn to gold! Oh, please disregard the negative reviews you read, I know that person personally, and she's the true definition of a Bridezilla! 🦖🦖🦖 The cake she is complaining about was BEAUTIFUL, and she herself raved about it to her guests (I was one of them) right up until the minute she positioned it next to a piping hot FIREPLACE. This is the first place I look when I need to send a treat. Tina has put together a couple of lovely baskets, both for me to send, and one my friend got for me.
