A one of a kind experience and a one of a kind ring. From pre-planning to the end result, Janeane was so thoughtful, attentive and caring at every step. Her questions starting off were deep and got to the core of what I was looking for quickly, always leaving room for adjustments and second considerations of ideas that had been expanded upon.

The experience of making the ring was incredible and only took a little over 3 hours from start to finish. There was little hand holding beyond step-up-step instructions, so we truly made it ourselves start to finish. Although we only made one ring, if you're going there to make two it would roughly take the same time as my partner and I split our time working on the one, so don't expect a major time add on if going for two.

My particular ring used two different types of metals as well, with very specific direction in terms of the rings style. Although it ultimately was simple (my choice) I was really impressed with the complexity of styles and designs Janeane offers.

We also found the overall cost wildly affordable, especially compared to simply purchasing a ring. Feels silly to buy when you can make one at the overall cost comparison. Making wedding bands with Janeane was wonderful! She's easy to work with and made sure that we got exactly what we wanted. I found the price to be comparable to buying the rings, and my fiance and I agree that this experience was SO much more meaningful.

Once we scheduled our workshop, we met a few months beforehand to talk about what design we wanted over Zoom. A few weeks before we confirmed our choices and Janeane had everything ready for us on the day of our workshop. The whole workshop took us about 5 hours, but that was because we had to do an extra resizing step.

I'm happy that we got to do so much of the craftmanship ourselves, maybe 98%, and Janeane only stepped in when we started slowing down, which I'm honestly grateful for. Polishing the rings really made them feel like wedding bands emerging from just pieces of metal. When everything was finished, it was a bit wild to just walk out with the wedding bands completely finished.

Janeane was an absolute delight to work with throughout the process of designing our wedding rings and guiding us through the workshop to make them ourselves. We weren't planning to have a "unity ceremony" for our wedding itself, so this was a great activity to bring my partner and I closer to each other. The 4-hour workshop in her studio was a lot of fun, and we left the rings with her so she could set the stones we wanted, including repurposing a couple from my mother's wedding ring. It took a couple months to finish since we had somewhat more complicated custom designs, but that didn't matter as we had scheduled it way in advance of our wedding.
