I'm an actor, and I'm extremely satisfied with the headshots I recently had taken by Nico at A Little Photo Studio.
First things first, Nico himself is a working actor, and has a deep understanding of the looks needed for actors for commercial or theatrical work. Before we took any shots, we had a great phone consultation about what looks I wanted as well as his recommendations for what looks would work well depending on the roles I was getting auditions for currently and also what I could get in the future.
After that, the photoshoot at A Little Photo Studio was a really great space and the environment was fun and welcoming. Their new studio was a great welcoming space, and Nico and the staff never made you felt rushed, uncomfortable, or out of place. It was my time, and they were here for it!
The photoshoot itself was very relaxed and fun, and I honestly had a blast. Headshots as a whole can be a little awkward, but Nico made the time fun and always made sure I was ready and not rushed.
I picked the 2 look touch up, and the final shots turned out fantastic. I was able to share the gallery with my agent and see their favorite picks online, which was super helpful and easy. What's nice is having the option to go back to my gallery and pick new looks whenever I want for a small fee.
In all, it was a great experience, and I'm confident in these new headshots...
Read moreWhere do I begin! I would recommend A Little Photo Studio to anyone! We had the immense pleasure of working with Melissa & Lauren to document some very special months of our lives over the last year -- beginning with a maternity photoshoot, then newborn photos, and recently we had family photos taken with our now 8-month old. The artistry that they bring to these sessions is unmatched and leads to absolutely gorgeous pieces of artwork that are truly family treasures. A favorite item that my husband, in particular, is a huge fan of are the bamboo photo blocks. We have 2 sets of these blocks that show the "before & after" between our maternity & newborn photos. The way Melissa thinks holistically about how a thread can be pulled from one photoshoot to the next to create continuity and familiarity shows her dedication to her craft. I have known Melissa to be an expert at kid photography for many, many years, and I was so excited to see what sort of tricks she had up her sleeve for photos with our 8-month old. To say we were impressed was an understatement! In addition to the final photography being outstanding, the entire experience is just so lovely & inspiring as well. You always leave A Little Photo Studio with a smile...
Read moreMelissa’s ability to authentically engage my children during our photo session led to pictures that truly capture their individual spirits and personalities. It was almost uncanny how she was able to connect with my 7-year old son who was dreading the photo session while also focusing the enthusiasm that my 4-year old daughter brought to the photo session. No forced smiles or fake laughs. Every emotion you see in our photos reflects the pure joy our whole family felt being in front of Melissa’s lens.
When it came time to review and select the photos to produce, Megan was the perfect guide. Her patience, diligence, ability to listen well and offer her own advice made the process less stressful....and even fun.
I know there is a whole team of other individuals at LPS who also helped bring my littles’ personalities to print, and I’m so grateful. (And to whoever helped lighten the bags under my tired eyes, you deserve extra points.) But seriously, I know it sounds super sappy, but I will treasure these photos of my kids in this stage of life forever. Thank you and thanks for making the entire process start to finish a fun project...
