I am so glad that I found Alex at The Bevy! She was absolutely amazing and I plan to keep coming back! Before finding Alex, I have always been a person who is very particular about who I let touch my hair. I have lived in Chicago for almost 6 years and for that entire time I would simply let my hair grow until it got out of control and then I would drive all the way to Michigan to take care of it because I did not want to deal with the hassle of finding a new stylist I could trust in the city, especially when there was a chance I would try out someone new only to be disappointed. I finally decided I wanted to take my hair seriously and that meant finding a stylist. I wanted to make sure my new stylist would be queer friendly, within walking distance, and make me feel comfortable and taken care of since I had never put the time and effort into my hair that I truly wanted to. That is when I found Alex and she has been amazing! She gave me an amazing hair cut and bleached my hair for the first time ever. She made me feel very comfortable and relaxed, and was the perfect amount of talkative throughout the whole process. Afterwards I felt so hot and confident and Alex also hyped me up making me feel even better. Super dope place to get your haircut! I’ve been going to my barber Katie for years and was stoked when I heard she was moving here. Every haircut I’ve ever gotten from Katie has been a 10/10 and she is a great person to boot. She is very knowledgeable about her craft and will work with you as she goes every time you want to try something new or stick with your standard. Highly recommend her for any dude looking to come here.

Every stylist here is independent so you’re supporting a collective of professional stylists who have worked their butt’s off to get where they are. The space is very clean and professional but super laid back and relaxing. Definitely book here for whatever your hair...

Katie is outstanding, and I believe I've been sitting in her chair for 7 years now (wow!). I had previously spent most of my life dreading haircuts, getting butchered at the cheap places, and then I found someone who is just absolutely the best. There is such value in walking away with a good cut, and you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who does it better in these parts. It's hard for me to look at pics of my dome PK (pre-Katie), because let's face it - the cuts weren't cuttin' it.

The Bevy is a nice, clean space with non-stop good vibes and hot tunes. Perhaps I'm a boring person, but it's a highlight of my month to step into "The Bev." Highly recommend, 6 out...
