This place is a neighborhood gem! As soon as I stepped into this charming coffee shop, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the scent of baked goods, creating an intriguing atmosphere.
I made my way to the counter, where I was greeted by a friendly barista. Without hesitation, I ordered a cappuccino and a ham and cheese croissant. The barista's attentive service ensured that my order was promptly prepared with care.
The cappuccino was a true delight. The rich, velvety espresso was perfectly balanced with steamed milk, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. Each sip was a delightful indulgence, reminding me why I love coffee so much.
As for the ham and cheese croissant, it was an absolute treat. The flaky, buttery layers of pastry enveloped the savory fillings, creating a mouthwatering combination. Each bite was a delightful contrast of textures and flavors, leaving me craving for more.
One aspect that truly impressed me was their willingness to provide tap water upon request. As someone who values staying hydrated, I appreciated the option to enjoy a refreshing glass of water without the need to purchase a bottled beverage. This small gesture showcased their commitment to customer satisfaction and environmental consciousness.
The staff's friendly demeanor and attentive service added to the overall experience. They ensured that my visit was comfortable and enjoyable, making me feel right at home.
Whether you're seeking a cozy spot to catch up with friends or a quiet haven to enjoy a delicious treat, this coffee shop is an absolute gem. With its delectable offerings, welcoming atmosphere, and exceptional service, it's a place I highly recommend and will undoubtedly return to time...

The North Center / Lincoln Square area hosts a healthy roster of great coffeeshops and cafes. That said, the Coffee Joint proves to be a great all arounder for the quintessential Chicago café experience. I'll admit that I was a bit unsure after not recognizing their beans from any other local or major roaster but was pleasantly surprised with the quality of their brew.
I ordered the seasonal specials, one maple and one toasted hazelnut latte and while tempted by the socially distant patio set up outside, I took them home for my partner and I to enjoy. After a nice autumn walk, I sat down and tried our selections. Instantly, my partner and I were taken back by the quality of the lattes, and had a tough time deciding who'd get what since it was so good. Now, we both drink a lot of coffee and do everything from the Keruig to Aeopress to Vietnamese brewing, and these were some of the best cups of coffee I've had all year. On top of the quality, the staff were patient and friendly, and the café itself is clean, modern, and still comfortable.
A perfect fit for the neighborhood and a terrific selection to slot into your routine or just if you are driving down Irving Park. No gimmicks or kitschy theme (not that there's anything wrong with those done well) but rather just a high quality establishment. Looking forward to coming back soon and...
Read moreThe drinks here aren’t that good. The lattes suck, and the sandwiches aren’t good either. My company bought us breakfast from here and we were all highly disappointed. Most of us ended up throwing our drinks and sandwiches away, and you bet we never ordered from here again. They’re also very CHEAP and do not tip their insta cart delivery drivers. As a company themselves, that tells you everything you need to know about them. If they’re being this cheap about tipping on supplies they need to run their business, just imagine what other ways they’re being cheap in when it comes to their food, their business, and their customers. Hopefully they at least pay their employees what they deserve, and on time, cause money is clearly an issue over there. They clearly don’t care about their business or their image, so why should we? I hope no one ever picks up any more of their deliveries. DO BETTER! Especially in the times we’re living in now. Next time, go pick up your own supplies. cause you clearly don’t care enough about your business to keep it running, since supplies don’t really matter, cause that’s what I got from you not tipping. cause if you really needed the supplies, you’d at least tip something....
