We've been shopping Aldi for over 6 years now, ever since we moved to Florida and absolutely love the deals and seasonal items you carry through the year. We shopped the Brandon location for over 5 years now and this Lakeland location for just under a year. My daughter and I just had the worst possible experience with your manager Scott. He was outside handing out carts at the time. I waited in line with a couple of items I just purchased-items that I thought were something else since I didn't have my glasses. He said they can not be returned-without any explanation. I asked why and he said that they just can't be returned and told me the items that could be returned (I don't remember which exactly), but still I said I could not return these items (flower pot stands), I asked if I could see the policy and he told me to call the 800 number. I then asked him what the 800 was and he said YOU HAVE A SMART PHONE-LOOK IT UP. I then asked to speak with a manager and he said he is the manager. I asked his name which he gave, I asked for his last name and he said that I don't need it. At that point I became upset and called him and A-hole. He then got into my face in front of a bunch people in line and called me an A-hole back. My daughter was within 15 yards away waiting for me behind my vehicle. She saw him in my face and started to question him as to why he was talking to me the way he was and he begun to argue with her across the parking lot. All this witnessed by the customers waiting in line for their carts. Finally as we drove off past him he flipped off my daughter. I need someone to...
Read moreI did have a pleasant experience at Aldi shopping. The store was very clean. Lots of things to choose from. Lots of organic choices, which I liked. However, the parking lot is very small. So, I recommend getting there very early if you want to find a parking spot. Prices are very reasonable and cheaper than most supermarket chains. The people who work there are all very friendly. This is a very busy little store. The only other thing that is a negative in my opinion. I still have to go to a another grocery store. As Aldi does not yet carry everything on my grocery list. It would be nice if it were a one stop shop. The store is just too small to carry everything. Lots of holiday things there as well. Cookies, gingerbread houses, advent, calendars, little decorations, etc.. Be sure to take a quarter if you go. You need one to get your cart. Your quarter will be returned once you push the cart back where it belongs. This is also helpful as there are no carts littering the parking lot, preventing you from moving about and parking. All in all, very nice store and a good...
Read moreWe had a Publix divider in our cart and all our groceries were on the conveyor. When we reached Brian, our cashier, we went to switch carts, because ours had my wife’s purse, cart divider and other misc. and Brian told us no, use the cart he had there. My wife said let’s use our cart and just place everything in the divider bin inside the cart. Brian told my wife he’s not paid to bag groceries, and if she’d take a look around, there’s a bagging counter behind her. Extremely rude. And we had no bags. The divider took up the entire cart. What difference does it make to place the groceries inside the divider bin, which is already taking up the entire cart, or put them all in another cart, which my wife ended up transferring everything back. His attitude ruined her morning. If you don’t want to wake up with a pleasant attitude, go back to bed and...
