Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Lakeland

What a covid-19 disaster! I went through the drive through since I was ordering food for my mom who was in the hospital. I had to pull over and wait for the over priced and burnt chili cheese dogs. The manager delivered them to my car WITHOUT a mask. She forgot to bring the banana split that my mom wanted. (my mom is very underweight and needs calories) I had to go inside to get the banana split which concerned me as I went through the drive through to avoid any contact since my 85 year old mom is high risk for coronavirus. Then I realized that they didn't put cheese on our chili cheese dogs. I had to go inside again only to have some young kid from the kitchen try to reprimand me because he thought I only ordered chili with no cheese. I showed him my receipt which clearly showed my order for chili cheese dogs. Nobody working was wearing masks. They can't get their orders right. When they mess uo on an order they blame the customer. I was absolutely shocked that a dairy queen treated customers with such disrespect and lack of regard to our health. I finally walked out because obviously they dont care about customers and I would rather lose $24.00 than risk jeopardizing risking my mom's health...

My two boys and I visited and it was such a busy day. It didn't seem busy on the inside but drive thru was enough to make me park and order inside instead. Well as I stated it was busy. Ok, so we ordered and I asked if my son's kids meal be upgraded to a blizzard instead of the treat that it comes with on the kid's meal. Trust me I was more than willing to pay for the update. However was told that I couldn't do that. So I ended up ordering my son a small blizzard on top of him still getting the "treat" that comes with the meal. Ok so it's my turn to order. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles Meal and asked could I upgrade my "drink" for a Root Beer float and was told "No, but you can order two cups of ice and put it in your Root Beer if you would like....." Oooooook, all and all I like Dairy and some times after a great week at school and work I like to treat my boys and myself to a sweet treat. But with all this itemizing this and itemizing that making things So expensive. It's cheaper to just go to Publix and buy Bryers Ice Cream and call it a day. I am a regular Dairy Queen Mom But I never am in North Lakeland today I was and figured I am shopping at the new Dairy Queen. They rebuilt on 98 N. and get some ice cream for me and Michael Miller boys. There was a young man working he was nice but you can tell he was new, and there was a LANY and she must of been there a while. She informed me that they had the triple chocolate brownie but that it just wasn't on their menu everywhere I've ever gotten it it's been 589 or 599. They were ringing up another item in place of it because they didn't have it on the menu. That was almost 8 dollars. Mind you I was getting two orders of this item Sunday in a blizzard as well. I showed them online where the price sent 589 so the gentleman ring something up around that price bracket the lady said she couldn't do it for that price unless she called the owner and was making a big deal. I then informed her it wasn't a problem I will go somewhere else I get it.
