Love the brands that they offer in such a small convenient location, however on the last three visits to Clinique, they did not have the products I needed in stock. On my last visit yesterday I went back to return an eyeshadow, and decided to exchange it for an eyeliner. They did not have it in stock. Then I looked to exchange it for another eyeshadow color, they did not have that particular color in stock. Finally I settled upon exchanging for a lipgloss and purchasing another lipgloss. All the while, the woman who was working at the counter was not very helpful, and continued to unpack boxes behind the counter, as I looked to find alternative products. She gave no suggestions, and did not offer to help me find other products. At checkout she offered me 15% discount if I opened a Belk card, and I declined.
After my Clinique purchase I found a couple more things in the store that I could get a really great deal on. I decided to open a Belk card with a very helpful, polite associate. She also informed me that I could get the 15% discount on the cosmetics that I had just purchased earlier with a price adjustment. So I went back to the Clinique counter and asked the lady for a price adjustment. She looked at me and replied 'I already asked you if you wanted to open a Belk account.'
I was caught off guard by her rudeness, and felt very insulted as a customer. I know that this is not everyone's experience with this store, but it was enough for me to want to share...
Read moreLakeside Village, Lakeland. Went in during the afternoon to look for a couple of ties. The men’s department was in shambles with unfolded clothes everywhere and debris on the floor. I found a couple ties I wanted and when I went to purchase them the register in the MD was closed so I made my way around to housewares where I know there is another register. Nobody there. I turned and saw an associate walking my way and I asked if there was a place I could actually buy something, she said “I am not sure where this person is but I am sure if you walk to the middle of the store someone there can help you”. I would have thought she would offer to help but no, I had to walk to the middle of the store.
When I got to the jewelry counter the clerk was helping someone and told me I may want to try cosmetics as she would be a while. Off I went again, to cosmetics, where I stood for 5 minutes and nobody could be bothered to help. I dropped the ties and left.
And the brick and mortars wonder why they are in decline? This is a prime example of “could not give a s&*% about...
Read moreWhile I love Belks clothing line, their shoes and some of their handbags. They do not carry my perfume. BUT, that is not the issue I have.... the place smells of MOLD.... it's disgusting! I've delt with mold in a past home, I know the smell. As soon I walked in, I smelled it immediately. The friends I was with smelled it as well. Unfortunately, for me, my system couldn't handle the strong odor, my nose became runny, I was sneezing uncontrollably. My symptoms stopped, as soon as we left the store. Obviously, the perfume section was free of MOLD smell. It was less smelly in the shoe department. The worst was in the clothing department.... so I was terrified when my friend actually purchased items.... I insisted she have them cleaned prior to wearing them. God only knows where those mold spores are settling. SERIOUSLY..... CLEAN YOUR VENTS OR WHATEVER NEEDS TO BE CLEANED TO REMOVE THE MOLD!!! I'd also suggest you vacuum and clean your carpets, they are nasty! Fix your issues... perhaps I'll come...
