I’d like to start by saying that Longhorn has always been my favorite, budget friendly steakhouse. Good steaks at a reasonable price. I’ve visited many Longhorn restaurants across the country to include Georgia, Texas, Ohio and Florida to name a few. This is my second visit to this establishment. My first visit was just as bad but I figured I’d give it a second chance, I owed it to Longhorn. I ordered the 12 oz ribeye, “a well marbled, juicy ribeye seasoned and expertly grilled by our Grill Masters for the best flavor in every bite”. I ordered it medium rare because anything more would be over cooked because it’s such a thin cut of steak. Well mine was over cooked. I ordered a side salad with blue cheese dressing and a loaded baked potato which were good. I sat at the bar, was the only one there at the time. I sat for over 10 minutes before being served. I ordered a beer and water. Within this time another customer sat a few stools away. He was greeted with his drink and bread. I on the other hand was never offered or served bread. Later I found out that “he’s a regular”. I finished my salad and my steak arrived. Again, overcooked and definitely NOT well marbled or juicy. It was tough and not good at all. I could only eat half because my teeth hurt the steak was so tough. When I paid my tab I asked my server why I was never given bread? I thought it was customary to be given bread? She responded by saying “no sir, a change of policy states that we are to offer or if asked we bring bread”. To that she added “I’m sorry I forgot to ask you if you wanted bread, that was my fault.” I pointed to the other customer which she said “he’s a regular so I automatically bring him bread.” She was nice about it but still this is by far the worst Longhorn I’ve ever visited, service was bad, not a welcoming establishment at all and it wasn’t busy at all. I will NEVER return to this Longhorn but will indeed visit the other ones in my area. Do yourself a favor and do not go...
Read moreWe came to celebrate my son’s birthday. Server never told us her name. Never smiled. Just dropped stuff off and left. I brought in a small cake with candles & a lighter to make it as smooth as possible to celebrate him to the hostess stand. The server could not find the cake what felt like 15 mins, we told her it was his bday like the hostess asked us too prior to bringing it out. So as prior experience would tell that when we communicated it was his birthday, there is a cake- then the server would then do her part by having other servers come over and sing to him, she brought the cake out- it was not even lit, had no one with her and she set it in-front of my family member not even my son. Stating i did not want to walk all the way out here with the candles lit. Ok- but there was a wall - she could have made a way to make it happen and wow her guests. I guess she chose not to! So we had to move the cake in front of my son and sang! She dropped it and ran off again. No participation at all- it was AMAZING… i couldn’t believe it. Two minutes later the other table that also was celebrating a birthday- the servers were all over there singing to that guest. Which we were so happy for! I’m so thankful my son was distracted, but my heart SANK bc that was not okay for him to miss out. Beyond disappointed. The place wasn’t even busy, that’s the worst part. Needless to say, we won’t be back to celebrate another birthday at that long horn. And for the server AVERY S - I hope she never has to experience that same experience for her...
Read moreMeal was sub-par, to say the least!!! Very disappointed!! I had birthday gift cards my mother-in-law and sister-in-law had given me, for $75 and with the tip of between 18 and 20% it came to exactly $75. I had the ribeye which had no special flavor, marinade, NOTHING, and was almost tasteless. My wife had the 1/2 rack of baby back ribs, and they had a minimal amount of meat, were dry, and the barbecue sauce tasted like it been bought at a grocery store, in the generic food section. The margaritas we ordered were substandard, as well. The lobster and shrimp chowder was devoid of lobster entirely, and had a minimal amount of shrimp, and was served lukewarm. The redeeming qualities were that our waiter was outstanding, the corn on the cob was very good, and the wedge salad with blue cheese dressing was outstanding. Unfortunately, these were gift cards that could be used at any of the Darden stores and we happened to choose poorly to have chosen Longhorns' meal in hopes to have a good steak and some ribs. Credit that to Lessons Learned. In the future, we will go to Olive Garden, or definitely Bahama Breeze, where we've always had good meals. Sorry, this was very disappointing, both from a birthday present standpoint, because of the meal, and for the $62 cost of the meal ($75 w/tip), for two, the meal was atrocious! Just being...
