So let me say that I have had better and I would definitely not go out of my way to come to this place. I was in the area, staying at a hotel that was walking distance away, so it made it convenient to go to. I did come here three times, as to make sure that I would have a very fair review. I had food on two of the three nights.
I arrived on a Monday evening and the place was dead. I was able to sit at the bar and the bartender was friendly. They do have a wide selection of brews which is what attracted me to it. While I was there I ordered my beer and food. I can say for bar food, which was decent and that was a stretch.
On Tuesday I went back had a beer and was greeted by the same bartender. While I was there they had trivia that was ongoing. To me, this is absolutely one of the worst ideas they can bring into a bar. For starters, I guess they do not know there is such a thing as Google to get ALL your answers correct. As I looked around, I did not see that many people wrapped up with the game, yet that trivia guy was non stop ongoing. I would have stayed longer, but the non-stop talking fro the trivia guy and the worst music selection ever caused me to leave early.
On Wednesday I got there toward the end of happy hour. The bar was slammed so I was not able to sit at the bar so I sat at a table. It took the waitress a few minutes to come over to us, to me that was not the end of the world. To be fair, I have not dealt with the waitress before as I get ready to talk about her. With that said, she came over was incredibly not happy, refused to talk, walked around with a don't talk to me type of face. Come to find out while I was there, they ran out of the beer I was drinking, so that was another strike against them. I guess they don't check kegs. I did order food, which I was unable to finish. The food was beyond tasteless, not hot, and seemed like it was cooked in a microwave. I ended up not even eating all of it. Yet, the server would not interact for us to have a dialogue with our food. Oh and to add to it, guess who came back?????? The trivia guy AGAIN. Now can I mention I have been in bars and restaurants for over 20 years. Never have I had the trivia night, two nights in a row. This caused us to leave earlier than we wanted.
If you want a variety of beer, this place has it. If you want food, DEFINITELY DO NOT eat here. If you want some dialogue, do not waste your time. If you want attitude and subpar service with obnoxious trivia, this place is for you.
Overall, would I...
Read moreHonestly, never really heard of this place until a coworker mentioned it. We went cause we wanted to try something new - food wise. I ordered the American burger, cause nothing else on the menu sounded appetizing.
The burger came out and the patty looked like the frozen burger patty from Walmart, it was very much well down (cause I didn’t get a choice ig). Asked for ketchup to drown out the dryness, and was given ketchup packets; totally wasn’t expecting the packets, thought a bottle would be given, but oh well.
The burger I ordered was like $12, and I got a water with it. We also ordered another sandwich $12 - along with an alcoholic beverage. We got upgraded sides which costed $4 total. So how (with tip), total came to $50. I should’ve gotten a receipt, which is my fault ik, but definitely confused on how it was so expensive- but anyways. Definitely don’t recommend the handhelds.
Honestly, we aren’t coming back to this place. Guess it was worth a try, but I...
Read moreThese guys suck! The website clearly. specified their hours so my buddy and I took an uber ride over there from downtown Lakeland without calling ahead of time so as to make last-call only to get there and be told that they had already closed and weren't offered as much as water for our trouble. In fact a crabby manager came our of the woodwork after having watched us (on his surveillance camera) sit at the bar thirsty and disparaged for twenty minutes (until another uber driver deemed himself worthy enough to go out of their way to come get us at the Uppity Shopping Center) and asked us to step out and basically leave so his overworked waitress/bartender could finish mopping the floor of this huge, cold place by her dainty self. Of course, the last group of trendies out in the patio finishing their drinks, got to stay. Hey, we had money and would have been happy to pay for a beer, one of the many on tap. Did us being (handsome) Latinos have anything...
