On 2/14/21 my husband and I decided to order furniture to celebrate our 30 wedding anniversary. We shopped at lazyboy as we have throughout our 30 years. We finally decided on a Pinnacle power leather console and a beautiful accent chair. We had to put down $1,325.85. We were excited even though we would have to wait 16 weeks for delivery. On the way out the Sales lady thanked us for buying “quality furniture” (we learned later we didn’t get quality.) We told her we always bought lazyboy and our oldest son start buying LazyBoy as well. Well 16 weeks came and went. After 24 weeks we were so happy the our furniture was coming! Only the accent chair was wasn’t coming until sometime in September! Delivery people started bringing it in and they told as there were two problems. The was a branding mark right on the front of the console! Said the brackets were put on wrong on one side, so the seat would not attach to the console in the front. One of the guys complained that since LazyBoy started getting products out of Mexico they are having more and more problems. He told that they often see brand marks but it’s always on the back, he couldn’t believe the used this piece of leather on the front! They took pictures and said service would call. Service never did call, I called the store and was very disappointed with the sales lady response and ask that a manager call me. Debbie the store manager called me and said she spoke with the service department and they would becoming out to look at it. Service guy came and he shook his head and told us the console would have to be completely replaced. He work on the bracket, it’s better but that chair is still about 2.5 inches away from the console. It should be up tight against the console. After another week, Debbie called and told us that LazyBoy said branding is natural but they would give us $125 Credit to make up for it! I couldn’t believe that I had purchased $4,800 (we bought it on sale for $3,600) LazyBoy power console and it looks like a a piece they would sell off as a “second”. I told to come get it, this is not what I paid for. If LazyBoy thinks this is “natural” they can display it in their show room. I also told her that service never fixed the bracket, she said she’d looked into it. That was weeks ago and I still haven’t heard anything. I really just want my money back, I’m so done with LazyBoy! Read moreFOLLOW UP poated at bottom! Bought Two lift chairs back in May, one had a broken frame six weeks after it arrived in late June. We called for service and that took over a month for them to come out. The tech said he would order a new lifting kit and come back to replace it. A month later, we were told they would replace the whole chair. This is August, and now the SECOND CHAIR is making noises when it lifts up. Did I mention we purchased the extended warranty???? Well, I am going to return to the store this week and demand my money back for both chairs. I will post their response here for everyone to see... From what I have learned, their wait time is horrible, and the product is crap. As a senior citizen, I would think they would care about us better. In most of their responses to these ratings, they do not offer a solution and only speak about how they made tank seats for the military in WWII. Honestly, that does not help anyone solve their problem. I can't wait to see what they tell me. Stay tuned!!!
Follow UP on this problem... I went to visit the store and sat with the manager for about an hour. We had a polite chat about how my chair functioned. It was leaning to one side and making a lot of noise lifting and lowering) I had had TWO service calls made to repair it. Both techs were nice but could not fix the chair. One of them turned it over and said the base was bending. (My weight was well under the limits) That was determined by the tech to not cause a problem. He did tell me that these chairs are fitted with what he called a cheap lift mount, and have had problems in the past with them. He basically said there was nothing they could do to fix it.
The manager said they would not replace the chair or give me a refund if I returned it. She even spoke to the owner of the store (She said) and he would not offer a solution either. As of now, over two years, I still have this chair, and it sits crooked and still makes a horrible noise when I use the lift.
To this day, I have given out my thoughts to friends and people who have been over to my home and asked about my chair. Lots of bad vibes going out to Lazy Boy!
I woule LOVE to get a call from the owner about this, and would comment here if he ever does try to make this right. I think I have earned this...

Read moreOrdered furniture 11 months ago, when they delivered the furniture the first time, they had the wrong couch and some pieces were missing and I didn't accept the order. One week later they find the correct couch for the set and delivered part of the items ordered, but there was damage to one couch and one end table, also the one other table was still not delivered due to damage. Was told they would send someone out in 4-6 weeks to fix the couch, and they will also bring the missing end table out. We'll that didn't happen, the person they sent out took pics and said he can't fix the couch (pics was already taken and sent to office when they delivered) also, I didn't have the remaining missing pieces of furniture (end table and table, its a 3 piece set). I was told it would be another 4-6 weeks to get the couch piece, and the table and end table should be ready as well. Nope, that didn't happen. Even though they had the one end table fixed, they still don't have the other table and the couch fixed. It's been several months now, and I can't get anyone to help me or tell me when my remaining pieces will arrive. All I get from Brian at the service department is "it will be here soon", they couldn't give me a date, no time frame, nothing. Debbi (store manager) and Candy (sales) are not helpful. they just had empty promises. On thingbis for certain, they will never call back. They are always not available when I call. We paid nearly $7000 for furniture that I do not have. I highly recommend avoiding La-Z Boy in Lakland. It's pretty upsetting that I have to waste my time dealing with such a horrible company. I've been very patient with them, but patients only go so far before I feel like I'm now being taken advantage of and ignored. I hope someone with some authority sees this and does...
