Kelseyville Food Center — Local services in Lakeport

Guy at the counter, who I can only assume is the owner, was the worst human being ever. He was BEYOND rude for absolutely no reason. He ran my card for a purchase and when it “didn’t work” he literally threw the card back at me and gave me a hard time about it. I was in so much shock about how he was acting that I didn’t even know what to do. Not sure if he was being so rude because we were visiting and not local, but there’s no reason to be such an a-hole when I didn’t do anything at all to solicit such a response. Every other person in this town has been nothing but kind and sweet to us and this jerk just left a bad taste in our mouth. He should probably learn a lesson or two about being a decent human being and how to have some respect. Someone needs to remove that stick from his you-know-what and teach him some manners. We live in Kelseyville & I'd rather drive 10 more minutes to Lakeport than have to purchase anything through this store. Idk why..but there's an odd odor..ALWAYS😲😶 Their items are either outdated, rotten (once u get hme u find out), they won't take back expired nasty food they've sold you, the clerks seem to always be on their phones & talk to u while talking to whoever on their Bluetooth😒 To top it all off- they are crazy expensive!! Now that they're under new ownership, I see some positive changes happening. New arrangement, cleaner store, new items, etc. They're also the only store this side of the lake that had the jumbo pasta shells I needed for a special dish I was preparing.
