Kimmi Spa Nails — Local services in Lakeville

This used to be my favorite place in town and the only place I would go for my nails the last year and a half since we moved here, but the last 2 times I’ve been in have been terrible, so I won’t be returning.

The technicians I had the last two times are not people I’ve normally seen. They both seemed in a hurry. The woman who worked on my yesterday hurt me multiple times during both my manicure and pedicure. I would loudly say ouch and she would just smile and say sorry. I was so bad during my manicure, I almost just asked her to pay and leave before it was even over.

I always lets the women know I do massage so I need my nails short with no sharp edges. The last two times I’ve have had to come home and cut my nails down further myself.

Also yesterday, a woman had her 4 year old girl in there, who wasn’t getting her nails done, and she flipped backwards out of the chair and hit her head on the hard floor. The girl started screaming, it looked like it hurt terribly, and the mom just stayed and kept getting her nails done. I prefer an environment that’s relaxing, the techs aren’t hurting you, and they get the job done. I’ve always been a great tipper here also, very disappointing I...

I’ve been coming to this salon for a few months and initially had a great experience, especially with Quyen—she used to be my go-to. Unfortunately, that changed. She’s no longer as gentle when working on nails and her attitude has become noticeably cold and unfriendly, which makes the experience uncomfortable and not enjoyable.

I also recently got a TAP overlay (pink base) and wasn’t informed that it couldn’t be removed without doing a full new set. That should’ve been clearly communicated up front. I prefer not to keep redoing full sets.

While the salon does offer a wide range of colors, they don’t carry the popular neutral shades from DND or OPI. It doesn’t make sense to have so many bold, unusual colors but not keep up with what’s actually in demand and TRENDING.

At this point, I won’t be returning. Between the lack of transparency and the change in customer service, it’s just not...

I found Kimmi's nail salon about a year ago.... I phased through all the manicure types over the years, now preferring a more natural short nail with long wearability and strength...
