Celebration Church — Local services in Lakeville

I just wanted to share my experience here. I was extremely hurt by this church few years back . . My daughter and I were new here , both so excited . I did a re-dedication baptism and got my daughter baptized on the same day . Was so special and I felt so happy . We came for a long time . Until ..........I found myself later needing help .

I was in a car accident and was injured bad. I was a single mother of a preschooler with zero help . My car had broken down and it was treated to be towed were it was at . So after service on Sunday I went down and got prayer ... I asked for prayer considering my car situation, to help me come up with the funds to fix it ,since I was injured and not able to work for that period of time, or to have it moved somewhere til I could afford to fix it . Well hearing this the lady I prayed with happen to work there , and she made it seem like she was answering my prayer .. she said hey.. get it here and you can leave it here in our parking lot until your able to get it fixed. I said ,it will be awhile I hope that is OK, I'm hurt with a back injury and can't work for a while . She said yes of course . So I got it towed there. I thought wow .. how cool and nice of them ...not even a 2-3 weeks later tho she was calling me , asking when are you coming to move that car ... then leaving tons messages ... you need to move that car ... i said Ma'am ( at the time I just started back working to save for it ,was a 1500 fix ) I just started working again I don't have enough yet to fix it . Then a week later I got a message stating you need to have your vehicle moved ,we need more room for our church guests to park . At the time I still was about half the way there for being able to repair it , so i left a message . No reply ..so i had tried getting ahold of them the following week . turns out they had it impounded . I tried to see if I could get it out and they wanted to charge me almost a grand by that time . So I lost my car. . I was very upset by this because I had alot invested in that vehicle for my daughter and I. It wasn't like I left there all summer . Was not even a month . I was very frustrated and hurt. So I didn't go back . Sadly shortly after I had a mental breakdown I just kept losing everything my vehicle , my home ,then my job , was horrible .. I fought so hard ,but it's very hard on one small income. Especially when an injury happens, I thought the church would have helped a single disabled mom in such a horrible situation. But instead I felt like they screwed me out of my car . . It broke me ... I wish I would have never listened to that lady . Was a nice car ( truck technically )... Still sad about it But ......

This is not a family church. The staff and close members of the staff watch out for each other, are there to pray for each other anybody not part of the staff or their life groups you are just a member of the church and they won't give you a second thought. I have been there the whole time the new pastor has been there, he has never said a word to me or my family. If you want to feel like a church family, this is not a church for you. I want a church that focuses on Jesus not how many friends we can have at church, at the same time I want a church that is there for you no matter your situation, no matter how much you provide financially to the church. Help each other out Celebration Church not just your own people. When you are in need of something don't question us and interview us because we are going through a hard time. BE THERE for your church. I have reached out to the staff on numerous occasions and have never been prayed for, never been contacted, never had a visit a visit to the hospital. I can guarantee if it was one of their own they would be there praying for them. Be there for your whole church Celebration Church, please. We were attending church but we always felt like we annoyed the pastor and his wife. I tried to volunteer at their church because that’s who I am. I like helping where I can. One weekend they needed help painting the bathroom so I signed up to PAINT! I went out of my way help them out early on a morning, I showed up and the lead pastor and the other pastor were there and said they were done painting and told me I could clean a bathroom and rip off the old board of the bathroom. I could not believe that they had asked this of me. “You Can clean the bathroom” I felt humiliated, confused and hurt especially when devoted time volunteering. I just felt like they took advantage of me. We never came back here and we never will. Also when I tried bringing it up to the assistant pastor he acted dismissive. They are not true Christian followers they follow their own path. They want the attention, victory and brag about their money and how many people attend....
