Stone Mill Plaza — Local services in Lancaster Township

I can't give them a fair statement since I have only gone there once. I can give them a great review from 1999 until 2004 I went there faithfully and I loved how organized it was and the wide aisles. Then we moved to.a resort area in SC for almost 15 years. Since moving back I went to the Giant at Stonemill Plaza where I used to shop. I couldn't find what i needed as expected but it just seemed so different. The aisles don't seem as wide and the deli/meat dept. seemed smaller. I asked the deli department employee if they stilled Herlocher's Dipping Mustard. I told him it used to be kept on top of the lunch meat counter. He said he didn't think so but they carried Boar's Head Mustard. He asked another employee if Giant carried what I was looking for and she responded the same. Don't think we have that. I decided to keep looking and 2 tiny middle aisles over I found it. I nicely took it to show they that Giant did still carry it. Maybe they should think to offer to look for some or assist the customer to where she found it. I won't be going back there unless they have some awesome specials. Sorry I didn't have a great experience since it was my favorite grocery store...

What makes a place good sometimes is customer service. There will always be problems and mistakes will be made it's how they are handled that makes or breaks a company. My wife ordered cupcakes for a bridal shower party. When she went to pick them up they never made them. They then found the order and said it would take about 30 to 40 minutes. My wife could not wait because she had other stuff to get ready before the bride to be got there. So I had to get out of bed, drive to giant, pick them up and deliver them. With me just nicely explaining the situation and all the inconveniences that it caused they gave them to me for free. A discount would have been nice and appropriate but to give them for free was a classy move. Thank you Giant for stepping up and taking care of your customers. That makes a big difference when your a loyal Giant customer and you want to stay a loyal...

This is my "go to" location for shopping at Giant. I have always had a very good experience there until yesterday.... They seemed to be out of stock for all of the items I was seeking, many aisles were jammed with shoppers AND stocker with their carts, the cashier was not friendly as well as the customer service representative. Many of the employees congregated at the customer service desk, conversing, which made it difficult to approach the desk and distracting while interacting with the customer service representative. All and all, not a stellar encounter; will shop a different day and...
