I ordered a new kitchen counter height table and 2 counter height chairs on March 31. I finally received delivery of the table on July 14th. The 2 chairs that had been ordered for the table that had been received by Foothills Amish weeks before the table were discovered on the 14th by the delivery man to be the wrong height. I am still currently waiting for delivery for 2 counter height chairs. I have had to reach out myself to Savannah multiple times to attempt to have an estimated time frame of delivery...I still have no answer. She told me 10 days ago that she would get back to me later that day. So far, I am going to receive a $50 credit and a special request for the front foot rest height for this inconvenience - although, I honestly don't know what the height of that foot rest actually would have even been on the original chairs to know how much of a special request it is. We ordered a table and 2 chairs from Foothills Amish in the past, I believe 2013, and had great service from them at that time. We still love the table and chairs. Love the new table as well and believe it is a quality table, but the level of customer service is definitely not the same in 2025. I do not understand how the original chairs were not checked for accuracy when they were received in June. Why did it take the delivery driver to discover the mistake? Also, why have I been the one that had to reach out for the order status, multiple times since week 11 of an 8-10 week estimated order? Next week will be the 24th week since I placed the order. Read moreWe've been customers here for years and have furnished nearly our entire house with their furniture and accessories. The quality is outstanding - so much so that now we can't enjoy shopping at other furniture stores because you can't unsee what cheap Chinese construction looks like compared to good hardwood Amish craftsmanship. The difference is painfully obvious. I even had a custom desk commissioned through FAF and it came out perfect - exactly what I had imagined, and with the same quality, even though it was a one-off production.
We were back last week and worked with Rachel Roper. She was a delight! We just came in to browse, but she was knowledgeable and friendly and was happy to research things for us. We came back at the very end of the day (like right before closing) to buy the lamps and a print we had seen earlier. In the process of waiting for them to be wrapped, we found a bed that we wanted in the clearance center that we thought was sold, but then we weren't sure. We caught Rachel in the parking lot as she was leaving for the day and she literally turned around from her car, went back in, turned on the lights, booted up the computer and figured out for us that the bed was still available. So we bought it, but we were so impressed that she insisted on being helpful and cheery literally after they were closed and locked for the day. We didn't know when we'd get back to Landrum next and Rachel was willing to spend her own personal time to make sure we got taken care of. First class service and goods....
Read moreWe purchased a dining room suite from Foothills and had an issue with the way the chairs fit under the table due to the way the table legs were configured. Foothills suggested an alternative solution that sounded reasonable-- and it solved the chair problem-- but the table top was less stable, especially when we expanded it with the leaves of the table. We came back to Travis and explained the situation and he offered to take care of the situation. A crew came and picked up the table and it was returned to the Amish craftsmen to resolve the matter. Not only did the craftsmen resolve the problem, it was all completed in time for an important dinner party we had scheduled for the end of February. We are very impressed with the quality of the furniture, but even more impressed with the quality and responsive attention of the Foothills company as it followed through to provide outstanding customer service. A special thanks to Travis for going the extra mile to solve this, but also to Rachel and Justin who assured us Travis would handle the matter well.
