I've had experience with purchasing jewelry as well as trying to purchase audio equipment here. While the employees in the jewelry department are very knowledgeable and friendly, the staff responsible for audio don't know what they're doing.
I've purchased two pieces of jewelry, and both times, the staff was helpful in answering questions I had as well as offering info that I didn't think to ask, all while offering a reasonable sell price and resize service. Two visits, two enthusiastic sales. Gotta take stars off for the audio department, though.
I asked one employee a simple question about converting RCA outputs to speaker cables, since this was my first time doing so, to which the response was something like "uhh idk it depends on how your setup looks, it should work with anything that works with speakers, maybe go home and check out your setup before you buy". Yeah dude, hence my question. I googled the question and immediately got the answer I was looking for, a $10 adapter.
I then go and test those speakers with the other employee working in that area before I buy, and they don't know how to play anything other than the radio. I really don't feel comfortable dropping money on speakers based on how FM radio sounds on them, just like how I wouldn't buy an HDTV based on how 240p resolution looks on it. I was going to buy but decided against it after that. I think a better alternative for buyers would be to do research on equipment within their budget and looking for that equipment...
Read moreI went in to sell my 32â TCL Roku tv. The man that helped me was nothing but rude. He kept cutting me off every time I was talking. He kept insisting that the remote that came with the tv was not the remote for the tv because it was not connected to the tv. I connected the remote and showed him that the remote worked and that the Home Screen worked. I then did a factory reset in front of him so that my personal information was removed and ready for the next person. When you do a factory reset on a tv it takes you to the set up screen. The man that helped me told me he needed it back on the Home Screen (which is not doable without putting my personal information back into the tv. It was crystal clear that the man helping us did not know much about technology considering he was confused about the basic workings of the tv. I was treated absolutely horrible the entire time I was in the store. If you want to be treated with kindness, I recommend you take your business elsewhere. Employees at Dicker and Deal do not know how to show kindness to...
Read moreI called and spoke to someone on the phone, and they informed me that they would buy what I had. So I spent a LOT of my gas driving there, and them the employee I spoke to said they wouldn't buy it. I told him about who I spoke with and what he said, but he just didn't care. They need to get their staff together and get everyone on the same page, because I lost not only my time, but also money on my gas. Then I speak to the supervisor, who challenged me on how much I actually spent on gas getting there, then said that the guy on the phone never actually said what he said. So he basically accused me of lying twice. I got so upset, I ended up having a panic attack there in the parking lot, was hyperventilating, asked an employee for help and he said he had to help someone else and walked off. I ended up passing out in my car. Next thing I know the supervisor that I dealt with is nudging, asked me if I wanted some water, and said if I was gonna stay there to turn my car off. No offer to help me, didn't call an ambulance, nothing but a...
