My dealing with this business is a year long situation that was caused by the owner’s son. It started with him and it declined from there. The owner himself was always polite to me, but it was evident he was not happy to have to talk to me. At least he was doing the right thing and being polite, unlike his staff, his son and his daughter-in-law (who was downright nasty to me after referring them).
I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone. I have no idea how they’re even still open. This is one of the most horrible customer service situations I have ever had. How sad that I’m giving a small business a one star review, as I always like to try and support locally versus going to big box/chain stores.
This business reinforced why I will get other appliances from Lowe’s, were they bend over backwards to make sure everything is correct and don’t drag things out for months, and then a year later drag it out again. I truly can’t express how atrocious it was to deal with G&W and the reprehensible behavior of the family members. The lack of professionalism was absolutely baffling.
Luckily, I had the plastic scraper you see in the pics because otherwise they would not have been able to get the blue film off and it would’ve dragged this nightmare experience out even more. One of the delivery men was downright rude to me in my own home, snapping at me about what I could and could not do (when I started taking pics). They also left their mess on my kitchen floor. Read moreI hate to even give this company 1 star, we originally ended up with them through Maytag as a warranty fix, we had thick black grease leaking from our washer, they came right out and fixed it, we then called them a couple months later for another washer repair for my dog grooming salon, what a nightmare!! The 1st guy came out, spent 2 minutes looking at it, took my check for $90 and left, the next day a different guy came with a part, contradicted what the other guy said and the part was wrong, finally on the 3rd try and a week and a 1/2 later and daily trips to the laundromat with dog towels, they got it running. Then, 3 months after the original washer, that was under the warranty started leaking the thick grease Again, this time when we called Maytag we requested another appliance service center, we actually got someone local and he tore it apart and showed me where G & W had actually punctured the compasator and then used black tape to tape it up, this is what caused the leak, not the motor that they replaced and billed Maytag for so, NOW Maytag has to also pay for something they G & W broke. Very poor communication Scheduled an appointment September 15th they came out on the 30th and told me what the problem was and the company will get in touch with me. 4 weeks go by and I called the company asking what is going on they tell me the part is in and someone will be by on the following day to repair my refrigerator. The person came and said I was suppose to have my fridge unplugged for 24hrs to defrost and he could come back the following day and No showed. I called the company they said he called me and knocked at my door but I didn’t answer. (I have motion sensor cameras that pick up when someone is at my door no one ever came.) They said they would send someone out Friday (Today) at Noon and still no one showed up.
