Planet Fitness — Local services in LaPlace

BEWARE: Planet Fttness has been charging US for an account they claim isn't an account in their computer, yet every month they have charged almost $26 to out credit card!! It has taken over 5 MONTHS to get Planet Fitness in Laplace to find and cancel this account. They changed managers over 2 months ago... In the last 5 months I've made about 20 calls, spent about 3 hrs on the phone and made 5, or more, physical trips to see the old manager and the new one... both are whom, are unavailable (not there) when you arrive although you are told over the phone they will be there. Today when I arrived the young woman looked everything thing up and smiled telling me we had no account in there system, and the manager was unavailable!! I TOLD her, "Honey, I called five minutes ago and was told he would be here until 6pm, AND ya'll are charging our credit card nearly $26 a month when this was supposed to be canceled 5 months ago. Go get your manager NOW please." He appeared and claimed no one had tried to cancel the account over the past 5 months but he could cancel it now. I informed him that was not truth... and cancel it now. I requested a print out of the document stating it was canceled. The manager said he couldn't give me that I'd have to go online to their website to get it. "I told him, "Sir you have been taking our money for 6 months when this should have been BEEN canceled. Before I leave you need to print out the document stating you have canceled it." He acted like it would kill him to do it, but did print it for me. He also refused to give the cooperate phone number to call...

Here we are in 2024 and I have NEVER experienced racism. Date 01/07/24 Time 7:20pm Planet Fitness in Laplace you need to have a serious conversation with your employer name (JOHN PIERRE) Never had a bad experience with any of your employees but to be falsely accused of stealing or put it they way John Pierre put it (YOU PEOPLE) so Planet Fitness explain to me what John mean when he call my son and I you people. Is it because I am black and he is white. Planet Fitness is this the type of employee you hire unacceptable.This is what happen my son put his gray hoodie and both of our car keys in locker number 6 at the beginning of our workout we NEVER lock our locker because why should we there are cameras all around.. When we were finish working out my son and I went to retrieve our items but the locker was lock approach the front desk to tell John Pierre that the locker was lock so I asked who locked the locker. John Pierre then asked me what was in the locker and I then described what was in the locker my keys I didn't realize that my son grey hoodie was in the locker to so when John Pierre opened the locker he slam the locker back and said that the items in the locker wasn't our my son kept explaining to him it was his grey hoodie that when John Pierre said you people steal that when I asked him what he meant by you people. All John Pierre had to do is say let me go and look at the camera to make sure these are your items. This has to be the worse planet fitness I’ve ever been to ! I pay for the black card membership just so I can use the tanning bed's . Ok even though the beds are in very good condition, with out keeping up with the maintenance of the bulbs ( REPLACING THEM EVERY SO MANY HRS!!!!) then they are just pointless and they can be as nice and clean as you want them to look , but when your paying for a tan and it’s now been 2 months and you haven’t seen any type of results , well I would say that’s a major rip off , not to mention they are also FALSE ADVERTISING THE BEDS because on the wall where they have the # for each room/bed they also have signs stating “caution new bulbs …….” And that is not true because my friends and I have called for almost 2 months now asking to speak to a manager and the manager themselves tell me “ no we have not changed our bulbs , we have to call maintenance!” Well I’m sorry but if it takes 2months just to get a maintenance crew to this location to change light bulbs then I would hate to see what could happen to a member working out on a piece of equipment cause I’m pretty sure they don’t care about the equipment either ! I will make sure and I have already began to spread the word around about how horrible of a place of business this place is if your looking for a tan ! I now have to drive to Kenner just to tan and I must say , this place is awesome not 1...
