UPDATE: 8/7/2023

Never heard from Big Bus Tour it’s been almost 3 months since booking and never got a refund! Won’t recommend using them ever !

UPDATE:

Big Bus Tour responded to my negative review and asked me to give them more details. Not sure how much more they needed I was very specific with everything on my review. I responded immediately on 6/20/23 with a copy of my ticket receipt and as of June 29th (9 days later) I have not heard anything. I still do not have a refund for my two unused tickets totaling $110.00.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BOOKING A BIG BUS TOUR IN LAS VEGAS IN ADVANCE. My family (mom, dad, and four girls) traveled a lot when we were growing up. When our parents passed away, the four daughters decided that each year we would go on a four sister’s journey. In 2023 I hosted the Journey in Las Vegas (Tuesday, May 23 to Tuesday, May 30). I had prepaid reservations for 4 people $220.00 for Thursday, May 25 for the Big Bus Tour Las Vegas. Unfortunately, on Sunday May 21 my sister Lynn fell and broke two ribs and was in the hospital. Because of her injuries she was not able to travel. My other sister Diane who lives in Arizona near Lynn did not come to Vegas so she could take care of Lynn. Because of this unfortunate situation I read the rules for cancellations and saw that I was within the guidelines to be able to cancel 2 of my 4 tickets. Since cancellations are only allowed online, I attempted on Monday many times to cancel two of my tickets. Every time I tried to do it I was given a message from the website saying that they were having issues with the website and to try back later. I even attempted to chat on line with employees of big bus tours to help me process my cancellation of 2 tickets. Since I had no luck on Monday cancelling 2 tickets I drove to the big bus stop at MGM Grand Showcase mall and spoke with a ticket agent on the street and he told me I only could go online and get my refund. I explained to him that it would not let me. He said just come back here on Thursday and he would help me if the website doesn’t process my request. Fast forward to Thursday I still do not have a refund for my two tickets. It’s now the day of my bus tour and the same gentleman that talked to me on Tuesday told me to get on the bus and that he would call them and let them know that I was only using two of the four tickets and not to worry. Well, I’m sure you can tell from the story that things didn’t go as planned. I never got a refund and when I called the office to tell them I wanted a refund for two tickets because I only used 2 of my 4 tickets they said they cannot refund me because I already used the tickets and I told them NO I only used 2 not 4 and they said they didn’t care. I have never gotten a refund for my unused two tickets and I think that is very poor customer service, very unethical, very frustrating and very disappointing. BUYER BEWARE do not book in advance a big bus tour in Las Vegas because they do not honor their cancellation policies and they are not very helpful ! This whole process was a nightmare and I’m out $110.00 because they didn’t honor their...

AVOID THIS COMPANY! This company advertises as a "hop on, hop off" bus tour with live guides. I am a Las Vegas local who does not enjoy driving on the strip. Walking is deceptive because these huge casinos look like they are closer than they are. My friends and I thought a hop on, hop off bus would be a great way to do some things on the strip without having to drive, walk, and park at multiple places. The only reason I gave the bus 2 stars was the tour guide we had in the morning. Otherwise, I'd have given 1 star. The morning went well. The tour guide was fun and informative. We got on at Treasure Island and got off at MGM Grand to shop, eat, walk around a bit. We did not get off on the several stops in between, including the Welcome to Las Vegas sign which already had a pretty long line. When we were ready to "hop on" again, we checked the app which didn't have a time for when the bus would return. We ended up waiting 50 minutes. The app only listed the arrival time when the bus was within 15-20 minutes of getting to the stop. There was no seating at the stop and the sun was pretty hot by that time. We ended up having to find a pony wall down a side street to sit on for those 50 minutes. The bus finally came and we're ready to get on and continue to the next stops. But then we were told the driver was going on break and it would be another 35-40 minutes longer. We were extremely upset about waiting longer. However, 40 minutes isn't long enough to go do more shopping or walking around. We thought about leaving but we were pretty far from where we left our car. The bus finally came with a new driver and guide. This guide was TERRIBLE! He gave us earbuds to use so that when he wasn't talking, we could hear the recorded tour information. He was difficult to hear. He slurred his speech. We had tourists on the bus who didn't speak great English so I imagine they couldn't make out what he said at all. His information was boring. When seeing the Sphere (only recently completed and opened and the first and only one of its kind in the world), he told us the dimensions of it and then what restaurants were inside or nearby. Really? That's the most interesting information about an amazing new attraction? It then took 30 minutes to get to the next stop because of traffic. And by the way, it was 90º and HOT! By this time is was late afternoon. We still had at least 5 stops to go. We decided to get off and walk back to the car despite not getting our money's worth. I have been telling all my family and friends to avoid this bus tour company. It is not worth the money and...

I was hoping I would get a survey. Because I have a lot to say about the experience me and my girlfriend went though during our tour of Las Vegas with this company. Our tour guide was the worst I’ve ever experienced. I rode with this company before in California and it was an awesome and informative experience. However this time was no enjoyable or pleasant. The tour guide was a 19 year old male if I remember correctly who did NOT dress the part. During our tour he constantly complained how cold it was. He had his hand in his sleeves to stay warm but that cause his to drop his dinks MANY time and have to go chase them on top of the bus. His attitude was not friendly and he mentioned more then once how he didn’t want to be there. I’m not sure if the tour guides go off a scripts but if they do he VERY obviously did not have it memorized he very frequently would call him self stupid when he misspoke for everyone on the bus to hear. He also was humming in breathing into the mic obsessively a few times. He would scream and jay walkers and ambulance for interrupting him. Me and my girlfriend wanted to get off before we were even halfway done. I had earplugs in my pocket and we almost used them because the guide was awful. The jokes he told weren’t well timed. He was not engaged with the riders. I had to convince my girlfriend to come and she was skeptical she was right we should have saved our money. There is more if you’d like to hear more but the bottom line is, if someone had what we experienced in Las Vegas I bet they would never use your tour service again in another city. It was such an unpleasant, awkward, and bad experience I will think twice before taking a tour with this company again. The kid who gave us the tour should be fired. However the bus driver was amazing and if I could have given 100% of the tip to him I would have. My girlfriend and I were joking that our tour was short because the bus driver was sick of listening to the tour guide as well so he drove extra fast. It was truly a horrendous and...

We are from the uk and this was our first visit to Las Vegas. We have used Big Bus in London, New York and Monaco so we knew about the company and what to expect. We have always enjoyed the information given in the commentary as a way to find out about the area we are visiting. We purchased tickets at the LinQ and boarded the bus behind the high roller. We were greeted by Dez the bus driver. We took the top deck and was surprised to find out we didn’t need the usual earphones because Dez opted for a more personalised tour description of the area. I’ve got to say they were a real highlight of our Vegas holiday. Talking to us via the microphone Dez provided everyone on board with fantastic local knowledge, great facts and information about the area and history of the various landmarks. We’ve never experienced this before as it has always been the pre recorded commentary but to be honest this was so much more enjoyable! Dez is a credit to the company and I hope they get the recognition they deserve as an employee. We had to get off half way around to get a drink as it was so hot and then had to catch a different Big Bus to complete the journey. Sadly this meant it wasn’t Dez driving the bus and we were back to the earphone system which was the great quality information we’ve come to expect from other tours but unfortunately didn't have the same impact as we had been so wowed with Dez. Throughly enjoyed this as part of our visit to Las Vegas and would recommend anyone visiting to do a Big Bus tour especially if you can find Dez! We will continue to look out for Big Bus when we visit other places.

We did the Lights Tour at night & it was really well done. We both thought the running commentary of the audio tour was extremely well done and informative. Honestly I had thought that part would be hokey, but it was anything but. If I have to return for a conference I will definitely do it again.
