My overall experience with Makeup in the 702 was just okay. They were not the best but I know they were not the worst. I received multiple bids on hair and make up and this was one of the more cost effective options. There services were either a "HIT or a MISS". You get what you pay for. That is why I am giving 3 stars. Tips below if you end up going with this vendor.

Hair and Make up Review:
Hair- My trial was great! My hair actually turned out better on my trial day then on my wedding day which is why I say "a hit or a miss"! I had one bridesmaid ask for a blow out. I am talking full and bouncy. Her hair was the flattest I had ever seen it. She could have given herself a better blow out. Other bridesmaids hair turned out great though! They were styled beautifully and it emphasized their good qualities.
Make up - I have gotten my make up professionally done before multiple times and was hoping I would feel like those times on my wedding day. My trail was okay but would have been disappointed if that was my wedding day make up. On my wedding day I felt good but I have had better in the past where I felt my make up enhanced my beauty and I felt this was a miss.
Tips if you go with Make up in the 702:
Not only would I recommend this company to anyone needing hair or makeup for any reason, I WILL be using them again at every possible opportunity! I booked my event a year in advance and I have to say that doing so seemed to be viewed, by the company, as more time to provide outstanding customer service. Most of the vendors I used for my wedding accepted my bookings and then went radio silent for 6-8 months because of how far in advance I'd booked but Makeup in the 702 maintained warm and friendly contact with me the whole way through. Their online portal for viewing invoices, adding my maid of honor for makeup service, and uploading pictures of the dress and the hair and makeup ideas that I had made everything so much easier! They sent me helpful videos about how to prep for my services, when to wash my hair before the big day, and how to best prepare my skin etc. Every correspondence was warm, friendly, professional, and helpful. Every. Single. One. When the big day arrived the girls - who probably do a dozen brides a week at the very minimum, treated me like the only bride on earth. They arrived as excited and enthusiastic about my big day as my own maid of honor and I consider them both honorary bridesmaids. They worked fast and they were certainly professional but they were also personable and relieved some of the day-of jitters by keeping conversation light and fun and getting us to laugh with them. I didn't have a clear set vision of what I wanted for my hair or makeup, so I showed each of them 5-7 pictures of things that I liked and a general style I was going for and then let them be creative and they NAILED IT in both cases. The finished results were better than anything I could have found pictures for elsewhere. My first view of myself was jaw dropping and then I couldn't stop grinning. I've never loved looking at my own reflection so much in my life. 36 year of self-esteem issues went out the window in under an hour BUT I still looked like myself which was super important. They brought out of the very best version of me without making me look like a totally different person. All night my guests and family members would just gape when they got their first view of me and then grin ear to ear and tell me how amazing I looked. Even my wedding coordinator was impressed and she's worked with dozens of hair and makeup companies in Vegas but it was obvious that Makeup in the 702 made as wonderful an impression on her as they did on me. The airbrush foundation was fantastic and as we played a lot of EDM and Dubstep at our reception I was sweating a lot but left nothing behind on the white napkins that I dabbed my face with and I still looked fresh and gorgeous at the end of the night when we got to the hotel. My new husband and I had an ... energetic wedding night so I expected to go to sleep looking like Marilyn Monroe and wake up looking like Lucille Ball but, to my surprise, everything was STILL in place THE NEXT MORNING (see the picture my husband took of the back of my hair, wearing the black tank top)! I ran a soft brush through the ends of my hair and went to the family brunch still looking and feeling like a glamour star. After that we had a 7 hour drive to our honeymoon destination and my hair STILL looked incredible when my husband took the picture of my curled up on the floor in front of the fireplace (28 HOURS LATER!!!) I can't get over how impressed I - and my maid of honor - were with this company. 10 Very enthusiastic thumbs up!
p.s. I kissed literally everyone who asked to take a picture with me (with their consent) and my lipstick didn't need touching up even ONCE (and we ate a full dinner at...
Read moreI’m beyond happy and so deeply grateful for the amazing experience I had with Meg and Vienna on my wedding day. From start to finish, everything about their service was exceptional. Meg was incredible in her communication, making sure every little detail and my preferences were fully understood. Even when we made the last-minute decision to switch to a smaller party, Meg was so accommodating and immediately updated the contract details for us. When I realized I’d accidentally given the wrong hotel address, they were once again so understanding and quickly corrected it, ensuring there were no delays or hiccups.
On my big day, Vienna was the one who came to do my makeup and hair, and she truly went above and beyond. She arrived right on time, and every step of the process—from the foundation to the eye makeup, to perfectly shaping my brows—was done with so much care and precision. Vienna took her time, pausing along the way to check in with me and adjust things to match my preferences. It really felt like my makeup was custom-designed just for me.
And the results? Oh my goodness, they were breathtaking. My husband was absolutely speechless when he saw me, and everyone at the wedding couldn’t stop showering me with compliments. I felt so confident and beautiful, like the best version of myself—a glowing bride who still looked like me.
Vienna also did my hair, and it was stunning. I wanted a low bun updo with loose, face-framing curls, and she made it look perfect. She listened carefully to my requests and made adjustments until it was just right. She even took the time to give me a quick tutorial on how to put the veil on later, which was so thoughtful.
It wasn’t until the end of the night, when I was taking my hair down, that I realized just how much care Vienna had put into securing everything. It took me almost 30 minutes to remove all the hairpins—there were about 50! That attention to detail meant my hair stayed flawless the entire day, yet Vienna completed everything (both hair and makeup) in just two hours.
What truly stood out was Vienna’s calm and confident demeanor. I was so nervous that morning, but her relaxed energy and expert skills put me completely at ease. I trusted her entirely, and she delivered beyond anything I could have imagined.
Choosing Makeup in the 702, working with Meg, and having Vienna there for me on my wedding day was one of the best decisions I made. I can’t recommend them highly enough and will absolutely turn to them for future events. The experience was leagues above a similar service I had in California, which was around the same price but didn’t come close in terms of quality or care. Meg and Vienna have set the bar so high that I can’t imagine going anywhere else now.
Thank you, Meg and Vienna, for making me feel so special and beautiful on the most important day of my life. I’m...
