STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I have never had a worse experience from a company like what I've had with Aaron's. My store was the one on Fort Meade Rd in Laurel, MD. I would call to make payments and I was told by the representative who answered (on several occasions) that they couldn't take a payment because they were helping a customer and there was no one else there. To say they are understaffed is an understatement. Then they'd show up to my house, call my personal and work phone, and charge me a fee for showing up to my house because I didn't make a payment. One time they took a payment from my debit card before the preset bi-weekly payment date, which is why I call them to make payments now. I couldn't deal with them anymore so I told them that I'd be returning every item one-by-one and requested for them to pick up one item ASAP . They told me they couldn't pick up the item until I made a payment (on every item I had). I made the payment and they refused to pick up the item. I'd call them, they'd hang up on me. I called the corporate office and filed a complaint, still waiting on a return call for that. Two guys from the store, Andy and Charles are the most disrespectful and unprofessional people I've ever met. I called the store yesterday to tell them to pick up the item like they told me they would and Charles stated that if they come they're taking evey item I have. I have contacted a lawyer because I've read my contract and it states that I can return any item at any time. I could go on and on about the disrespect, unprofessionalism, and lack of accountability but it'd be way too much to type. If only I had read the reviews first. For the sake of your peace of mind, STAY AWAY...
Read moreHorrible customer service. Spoke to The sales managers named Christopher and he scheduled someone to come check my tv and issue wasn't resolved. The technicians said they would come back the following day which was the Wednesday between 3-5 and NO ONE came, called AGAIN and Christopher said basically the the technician should've never told me he was coming back and contact my service provider. (Doesn't make sense because I purchased 2 other tvs from them and the wifi was working on the other tvs and it couldn't give me the option to select a wifi connection by the way my tv was working perfectly fine the day before). Said he would send someone to come on Friday. NO ONE CAME or even contacted me, called AGAIN spoke to the general manager which I don't recall his name and he said he would come 8pm the same day because he lived in my area.. AGAIN no one came or contacted me! It's really upsetting because I'm wasting my time waiting for someone to just come and resolve my issue and they don't even have the common courtesy to contact me and tell me they won't be able to make it. FINALLY someone came and took the tv to see what's wrong with it and he had the nerve to say "I'll connect it to my wifi to see if it works" Clearly common sense isn't common if my other two tvs work perfectly fine...
Read moreI am giving 5 stars based on the fact that I have furnished my entire home from Aaron's. Obviously, everyone has their own opinions but as for mine...My start to finish at Aaron's came with some, but few frustrations. That being said COMMUNICATION IS KEY! These people will work with you if you just communicate with them. In a world where not everything is perfect a few times I had to call or visit the store to correct an issue. One thing I didn't like was the turn over in employees the Laurel location has. That alone I think is what caused a lot of confusion during the time I was with Aaron's. Again, if you just communicate, MOST of the staff is decent enough to work through whatever it is you may need. Alex is the manager I've dealt with the most. Kudos to you...
