El-Cabrito Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Laurel

Even though the food tasted descent and fairly priced. This restaurant has very bad food hygiene. I took a glimpse at the front and back kitchen while I was waiting to order and noticed various cross contamination possibilities. raw meat sitting in pots beneath the kitchen grill (about thigh level) which was uncovered and susceptible to dirt/germs. back kitchen also had a pot of uncovered meat that was on a cluttered counter next to plastic wrap and other things. both kitchen grills and counters were very dirty including walls. The floors are sticky and slippery. restroom does not have paper towels. Ceiling has water damaged section and mold near window by R side close to exit door. It wasn't busy. There were FIVE open tables when I arrived to join my coworkers. They were still ordering when I appeared, and they pointed me out to the waitress. She looked right at me but walked away to put in the order for the others. I sat down and when she returned I raised my hand and she looked RIGHT AT ME,,, never came over to take an order. Finally I have found a good taqueria that offers good tacos with seasoned meat! I have scoured throughout Laurel for years trying a lot of different taco places but this is the first time I can say This was really good!
