I have been living in the same area as this nail salon, I have used this salon few times. Few times I had good experience and few times I did not. However I am one of those who does not like to make a big deal about little things, especially knowing that people work hard, little mistakes happen here and there and there is always room for improvement, including myself!
This time I went to get dip manicure done (my very first time getting this type of manicure), and Basic with callus Pedicure treatment. I had asked them to use same color for both manicure and pedicure, which ended up being different at the end, as you can clearly see in the pictures. But I did not make a big fuss about it. So going back to my story, The nail technician was great, he cleaned my feet and then put my flats on before painting my toes. Once I had my flats on, he painted my nails and then he set me on a chair for about 45 ish minutes while blowing fan my feet and while doing dip manicure at the same time.
That being said, I had my flats on before he painted my nails, and they were drying for about 45 minutes before I left the place. I went home and noticed some clear polish being unevenly painted on my toes, which I tried to ignore. But then I noticed, my big toes's paint was shifting on just touching it as if it had an air bubble sitting under the paint. I did try to ignore it for few minutes but it did not settle.
I decided to go back and have them just fix ONE MESSED UP TOE because next day I was going out of state on a vacation and did not want to loose part of my toe paint while I was on vacation, without even making a big deal about it, without asking for money back, without asking for discount, without asking for them to do my pedicure all over again.
Well the technician was okay doing it, but as soon as he set me down, this lady came to us and started chatting in their own language, and then blaming me for not letting it dry before leaving. I mentioned that I was sitting with air blowing on my toes for 45 minutes before leaving. So then she blamed me for putting my shoes on too quickly without letting it dry. Well, my nail technician had me put them on before he started painting my toes. So I wonder how my flats would have touched my toes.
This is not the first time I had rough experience with my treatments here, but I kept going back to it because one, it is right in my neighborhood and also I really like supporting local businesses like them. I am not into writing negative reviews but this one got me bad, especially because the way this lady treated me. As if I was in it for taking advantage of this local business. I had paid full amount for my treatment, tipped well to the nail technician and have been regular customer to them. It is sad that local businesses do not threat their customer well. Not sure why they felt the need to treat me the way they did, may be because I am a woman of color and do not look so put together or may be there were different reasons. Whatever the reason for cartain behavior, I learned my lesson and won'e be going back...
Read moreI rec'd a Pro Nails Gift Certificate (GC) for a pedicure from a friend. I decided to use the GC on 6/23/21. Prior to the service, I showed the GC, signed by a person named Julie to the Receptionist. She immediately stated ,"This is not our Gift Certificate, and showed it to a lady, who conferred". The Receptionist showed me the GC book w/GC's issued to customers. I said, "This is the GC given to me as a b-day gift". It was a printed copy on orange paper, w/the Pro Nails Logo, w/my name for $36.00, signed by Julie. I asked, "Who is Julie?" The lady that the Receptionist conferred w/stated, " I'm Julie, & this is not a GC from Pro Nails, it's a copy and could have been printed anywhere" and she would not accept the GC. I called my friend for verification of the transaction while in the salon. She stated, "She called Pro Nails in Sept/2020 & spoke w/someone regarding issuance of a GC for $36.00. At this time, this Julie person appeared to remember speaking w/someone on the phone regarding the request for a GC. My friend says, "She received an e-mail confirming the conversation." Julie insisted that I show her the email, I insisted the same from her. She made no effort to retrieve an e-mail & continued to deny the GC and its authenticity. I asked to speak to the Owner, w/no response from Julie. I indicated to her ,"At this time, there is no way I would ever want services from anyone in this Salon or return to this Salon. I asked for a refund, no response. I stated I would return & left the Salon. My friend located the e-mail, dated 9/5/20 from "TUYET VO", Subj: GC, "Here is the gift card $36.00. Tell her to print it out & bring it with her. Thanks, Julie" & e-mailed it to me. That's exactly what my friend did at Julie's direction. I returned to the Salon, Julie was w/a customer, I showed her the e-mail, &she continued to deny the transaction and my existence. I read the e-mail out loud to her so customers could hear, due to her embarrassing me and accusing me (the recipient of a GC that she initiated) of printing a copy of a document to render services in Pro Nails, fraudulently! Julie directed this transaction be performed in this manner, she denied it! The $36.00, is not the issue, it's the principle of this bad business practice. The goal is to have the $36.00 refunded to my friend for a great birthday gift never received, due to poor Customer Service. Proof is also available that the GC was paid for and deposited in Pro Nails Account. CUSTOMERS BEWARE Of JULIE AND HER DECEITFUL BUSINESS PRACTICES AT PRO NAILS, 8300 ICE CRYSTAL DR,...
Read morecould it still get worse? I guess. Over the last few days, I have contacted the salon twice to speak with the manager, left a massage for her with details of my complain, and she has not called me back. I can only imagine the example that she's setting up for her employees.
