Thomason Jewelers Inc. — Local services in Laurens

I dropped my ring off on May 9th 2022 to have it resized smaller and have a small diamond replaced. Mr Thomas quoted that it would take 1week and would cost around $100 to have the repairs done. After 2 weeks I called the jewelry store and a lady answered, I asked about my repairs and when I could pick my ring up and was told that they hadn't started work on it that it would be done soon and they would call me back as soon as it was ready. I didn't hear from anyone for another week so I called asking again about my repairs and was told that they hadn't did any of the repairs that they had taken my ring to another jewelry store in Johnston to have the diamond replaced. That was on Monday May 31st. I informed Mr Thomas that I wanted to pick my ring up that day he said that it would not be available until Thursday June 2nd and that he would call me first thing in the morning as soon as they open to pick up my ring. But I didn't hear anything from them today Thursday June 2nd 2022 so I called them at 11:53 a.m. and was told that my ring is ready. He asked specifically what time I would be there to pick it up, and I said within 20 minutes. I get to the jewelry store and a lady took my ring out of the envelope , no repairs have been done but a large piece of the gold was cut from the band and it was beat up badly. I asked her why my ring was cut and she said she didn't know, that I would have to ask him. I just took it and left. I'm certain there was a cop standing at the register with Mr Thompson when I got there. Which was the reason for him asking for a specific time for pickup. Earl Thomas has several family members that work for both police departments in Laurens county and city. I called the police once I left, and received a call back from Detective Rush and was told that malicious damage to property isn't a criminal offense, that it's civil. Do not use this jewelry store for any kind of repairs I wouldn't purchase anything from them they had the most careless attitude about destroying a family heirloom after holding it for 3 weeks I have to take it somewhere else to have the repairs...

They suck. I don’t know how else to say it all of you people that have had things done there that say you’re pleased you better wait a month or two I had a cross repaired and within a month it was back to where it had broke again. so good luck with that they make promises that they can’t live up to you need to go somewhere else to a reputable...
