I don't even know where to begin. Great selection of bikes and the females were friendly. I drove 5 1/2 hours 1 way to buy a motorcycle. The salesman I talked to about it over the phone was off the day I went to purchase it. He told me the price was negotiable. Well I got there to find out that Thomas I believe, the older guy WOULD NOT COME DOWN $1 FROM THE ASKING PRICE!!!! I am an active service member and showed my service I.D. and he still wouldn't come down $1 from the asking price. Since I drove 5 1/2 hours to get there I didn't want to leave empty handed so I payed the FULL ASKING PRICE. Thomas tried to tell me that he was giving me a deal because I wasn't paying sales taxes on the bike which would have made it more expensive. But I have to pay them when I get back home, so what difference did that make Thomas? And on top of that, I was charged docking fees for a used bike. I guess because he not use to seeing people my shade, he thought he was smarter than I was, but he was sadly mistaken. I will NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE AGAIN!!!! And to make matters worse, I had to wait 3 weeks for my temporary tag. I couldn't even ride when I got home because they said it was a trade in, and the bank had the title. Then why did you sell it? And had me waiting almost a month to ride the overpriced used bike. And I had to call multiple times trying to see what the status of the title was. Only when I called and asked for the phone number of the owner, in which I wasn't given, the guy was able to do whatever was needed to get the title to me about 4 days later. And the temp tag that I was given was the size of a car plate. It wasn't even a motorcycle temp tag. So now I have to ride around with a MASSIVE tag that's too big to fit on the mounting bracket. I am so disappointed in that whole situation and I never heard of a dealership (stealership) not coming down for a active service member who drove a total of 11 hrs and had to wait over 3 weeks to even ride the bike. The fact that I paid CASH for the bike, no financing cold hard earned cash, and to be treated like they were doing me a favor is sad. I was so upset and disappointed after sitting in the showroom for over 3 hours while they were in the back screwing me. I told them that I had 1 day off in which I drove out there, and had a 12 hr shift the next morning, they delayed that transaction for hours. I seriously felt like just leaving because of the time I was sitting there, plus the fact that I was told the price was negotiable and they didn't budge 1 red penny. NEVER AGAIN, HARD WORKING AMERICANS TAKE YOUR MONEY WHERE'S...
Read moreNot sure what’s going on here anymore. Carns was my favorite shop to visit either for parts, service or motorcycle purchases. After my most recent couple of visits, I was inquiring about purchasing another motorcycle from them. After a few discussions and back and forth about a particular bike I was waiting for a call back about a part for the bike I wanted to purchase. Never got a call. They claimed to have called but I never got it. Nor did I get any voicemails. Fast forward a few weeks later I purchased a bike elsewhere and because I have, what I thought, was still a good relationship with Carns I decided to take my new bike in for a simple inspection and tune up. After discussing what was needed to complete the work, I asked for a day to talk it over with my wife and I would give them the approval to proceed with whatever needed done. There was no discussion about timeframe to have the work done so the impression was it would be completed relatively quick. I was informed they would need to order the tires for inspection (ok no big deal) tires should be there by Friday. Bike was dropped of on a Monday. Final approval to complete work given on a Wednesday. Called Carns on Saturday to get the status and hope to pick the bike up, not the case. Was told they are still waiting on other part to be delivered and it should be don’t by the following Monday. Monday arrived, called again, still waiting and gave a new expected time of completion and pick by Friday (TWO WEEKS) for a simple inspection and tune up. After stopping in on Wednesday was told they are still waiting for a part and now I could pick it up later that day or maybe Thursday. Well Thursday was the day. Once I get the call to pick up the bike I noticed the inspection is only valid for three months. Seems odd to me. Three month sticker? The worst part of it all they lost my temporary registration for my bike. I called to see if they had and was told they were sure it was left in my saddle bags. Left one specifically. NOT TRUE. So now I have to go out of my way to source a new temporary registration and hope they place that did the transfer can provide a copy otherwise I’m unable to ride until the bike is registered in the pendot system. This last experience with Carns has created a very in happy customer. The staff there are very pleasant to work with but this time around they dropped the ball. There have been no attempts to make it right. Bill paid in full and will...
Read moreMy interest in a Kawasaki Mule Pro-FX EPS LE, brought me to Carns location, in Clearfield. The first thing I noticed was the vast inventory of all types of off-road vehicles, motorcycles, and lawn equipment, I was literally a kid in a candy store! I focused on a Kawasaki Mule UTV listed on their web site and found the vehicle immediately outside the showroom. I was greeted in just a few minutes by salesperson Thomas O’Connor. Thomas was courteous and very professional, inquiring about what my needs and my interests were.
I had done some research on the Mule, but Thomas’s knowledge of the Mule was extensive. I have a genuine interest in Kawasaki powered equipment owning other equipment with Kawasaki engines. He showed all the main features of the Mule and very importantly, went into detail on Kawasaki’s 3-year warranty.
I have negotiated and purchased lots of vehicles and equipment in my adult lifetime. I would place this purchase in the top 3 all time for me. The negotiation progress with Thomas was stress-free and agreed upon very quickly. From the sales manager Kurt Clime to the delivery driver “PJ,” I was treated very well by Carns Equipment, and am very satisfied with my Kawasaki Mule purchase. I highly recommend Carns for your off-road vehicle and equipment needs, you will be pleasantly surprised by this...
