I've been floating at this location for over a year now. This is my review on how it's changed my life and helped me heal. I started float therapy after having wrist surgery which left me with excruciating pain and limited motion in my dominant hand. For decades I had suffered with CPTSD, MDD and anxiety. I am the caretaker to my adult son with severe autism and the pressures of life was just overwhelming. The physical pain from the surgery was the tipping point and my nervous system was beyond fried!!! I purchased a membership after my second float even though I didn't really have the budget at the time. From the beginning, I was aware that float therapy was something special. For decades I studied and participated in various healing modalities including behavioral therapy, meditation, subconscious reprogramming, hypnosis, breathwork and yoga. I can tell you float therapy is beyond the level of anything else available at this point in time. The reason for this is because the body keeps the score and your nervous system is running the show regardless of what you consciously try to project outward. Being able to cut out the external stimuli shows you exactly what thoughts keep repeating and gives you the ability to focus deeply on your body and your breath - maybe for the first time ever. Float therapy is unique because it allows the body to go into a Theta brainwave - deeper than Alpha waves during meditation, and directly linked to the subconscious mind and parasympathetic operating system. The effects of this brainwave and the reseting of the vegus nerve deeply regulate the nervous system even after trauma. The salt water is great for numerous issues including relieving inflammation but it also cleanses your energy field. You can research the benefits as it's too much to list in this review. Each float experience is unique and it teaches you to release expectations and how to relax into the present moment. You can float in silence or listen to healing music which changes the energetic frequency of the water in the tank. This place has become my safe healing space. I love the staff members. They are accommodating, kind and genuine. I look forward to seeing them and sharing my post-float insights. The rooms and tanks are clean, scent free, spacious and have a peaceful vibe. I'm beyond grateful that I found float therapy at this location. I could write a book about my experiences in the tank and probably will. For those reading this review who are struggling with metal health, physical pain or just living life - Remember you aren't broken, your nervous system may just jacked up at the moment. If you decide that floating is for you, my advice is to get a membership and schedule floats regularly to receive the full benefits. Floating on occasion is nice but will not work on a deep therapeutic level. I learned this over the year as I didn't always prioritize myself and floating so my sessions were often inconsistent. The difference with consistency is literally night and day. Wishing everyone reading this love on their...
Read moreEast Coast Float spa provides very welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. It's meticulously maintained, the staff is always helpful and accommodating. Though the experience is greatly dependent on the state of mind, it allows to completely melt away the sensation of physical presence due to lack of tactile stimulation. The temperature of the water and air is identical to the body temperature and after about 20 - 25 minutes I completely lose the perception of having a body and that is a very interesting state of being from my point of view.
Another important benefit aside from the total relaxation is that any bodily discomfort is clearly localized and identifiable. For example, I was able to "feel/see" the tears in my rotator cuff exactly as they appear on later MRI. Since my perception of having a "body" is melted away, any particular discomfort is clearly felt and localized. I highly recommend the float session for anyone who is having difficulty meditating or simply to relax and just be with "yourself", it's an excellent tool with the process of "self discovery"

Read moreFloat therapy has been a fantastic experience! The staff at East Coast Float Spa are extremely helpful and courteous. The facility is soothing and peaceful. Scheduling appointments on their website is a breeze!
The float rooms are spacious with a changing space, shower and float area all in one. Guidelines and recommendations for float sessions are posted on the back of each float room door. The spa also provides shampoo, conditioner and body wash, as well as everything you need following your floating experience - towels, robe, earplugs, cotton swabs, etc. There is also a separate vanity room with hairdryers and mirrors for freshening up after your float.
The oxygen bar and zero gravity massage chairs are in a separate "post-float" section and the staff offers a cup of hot tea after each float! I can't recommend it enough and if you're on the fence about trying it, I say...
