We have been eating at Persis Biryani Hamilton for many years now, and the food was consistently very good. The restaurant has largely extended its menu now with numerous new dishes added in every category, for everyone's like and taste. Tonight's take-out, however, left us somewhat disappointed. While we live less than 10 minutes' drive from the restaurant, and some dishes like Bhindi Masala and Shrimp Chettitinadu were warm, the Shish Lamb Kebab that is supposed to come sizzling hot from tandoori oven was as cold and bone-dry as it could possibly be. It felt like it was prepared many hours prior to our order and was never heated. The supposedly butter naan was a piece of stale bread, on a harder side too. The restaurant has to take adequate measure to improve its operation to satisfy its customers, especially in our trying times. PS. I just changed my rating (3 stars originally) due to the phone call received from a restaurant a few minutes ago, containing nonsensical if not outright false claims. According to the management, the food was ready by 6 PM "in their system" because the delivery is done via GrubHub. Why? The GrubHub order was specified as 6:45 (10 minutes' drive to our house), so WHY was it ready 35 minutes prior? Secondly, two other dishes came in warm, so it has nothing to do with delivery. For the management's refusal to own up their poor service, asking me in addition to remove my review, the restaurant is getting 1 star.

This place is a gem! The food was fantastic, the service was excellent and quick. I had the Lamb Rogan Josh which is one of my all-time favorites and this place hit it out of the park. The flavor was incredible, the lamb was perfectly tender, the garlic naan was cooked perfectly. The owner was incredibly friendly and, despite being very busy, still took the time to have conversation and talk about the food. The spice level was not over the top, I like my food very spicy and reading some of the reviews on here sounds like some people are being dramatic because I asked for spicy and it was just right. This place is obviously popular for takeout orders (the phone never stopped ringing) but I would recommend coming in and sitting down. Plenty of seating, very quiet, and you get to enjoy your food fresh from the kitchen.

Ordered through delivery app, and the food came hot, which was great. My issue was the chicken biryani, the chicken was hard and dry, not sure if it was old or overcooked. the garlic naan was burnt, and inedible without removing the bottom layer. The butter chicken was the star of the meal and was very delicious. Not sure if I would try this place again. ETA to the owner: Of course this is the location I ordered from. You don’t have my name because I’m using my initials, obviously. I ordered from Uber and live in Ewing. Changing my rating to 1 star and I definitely won’t be trying this place again. Great customer service, instead of owning up to two out of four items being low quality, attempt to gaslight the customer. Perhaps look into the details of the food you send out to customers…. WOW

We have been going to this place for almost more than 4 years now. It was new then, but the preparation was always good and we gave all our party orders from here. Till date, we were ordering from here and picking up for all our family and friends in all parts of NJ. So, it was very very disappointing to see the quality go down so much (not sure if mgt has changed, but we do see new faces).I ordered Chinese (the worse ever nd was bad/not freshly made just when opened) for my daughters bday party for adults. Ordered hakka noodles, fried rice nd veg manchurian. All was stale. Genuinely called them a day later to inform and wanted to know what went wrong (didn't want to form an opinion being a customer for so long). Was assured a call back but its been more than a week , and haven't heard anything. Serving stale food (order was placed 2 nights ago, dunno if that was the mistake),not explaining or getting back. .not very acceptable.. With this world, with so many options around you,why would a customer wanna ever go back and why wouldn't they spread the bad word to save their friend and families.(the word is always spread. .when you do good and when you fail to deliver). So decided to leave a review as it...

The food is always delicious. Never had a bad dish to be honest but what I have also never had is a good customer experience. They are always overwhelmed . The guy at the desk is literally RUNNING from the front to the kitchen constantly, answering phones chaotically. I don’t deny that he is working as fast as he can but this problem seems so consistent from my own experiences and by reading the comments that there obviously needs to be some accountability taken from the management. The responses back from the restaurant usually gaslight the customer and always fail to address the consistent problem most people complain about( which is longer wait times than promised and disrespectful behavior from the front desk). If multiple people have the same issue and the only common denominator is the restaurant, than the people aren’t the problem. Its just that simple. I’ve even had conversations while Waiting for my food with other customers and we always laugh about how horrible the service is but that the food is almost worth the extremely frustrating experience. So moral of my story, food is great, that’s why I gave it more than one star. But expect disappointment...
