I started to go to this aldi after moving to the lawrenceville area last year. It was great at first, I was super excited about the place having plantains, which I had not seen at any other aldi before.
However, everytime I have gone in there the last few months have not been the best, and the last time I went it was the absolute worst.
Their produce is bad. ESPECIALLY their strawberries. I spent 10 mins looking through the strawberries, some boxes containing moldy strawberries and others getting close to it. Before this, every-time I got strawberries they would go bad very quickly(not organic). I eventually had to go to the organic strawberries and thankfully there was one pack that was not moldy. The worst part about the situation was that there was an employee staring at me the entire timeâŚ
It was a ginger employee that was doing nothing except pretend like she wasnât watching me. She was behind me doing nothing else facing my direction with a device in her hand (doubt it was a personal phone). Everytime i made eye contact with her she just smirked at me. I didnât know why looking through strawberries made me suspicious, but oh well.
After that I walked around the store, and ended up only picking up different kinds of potatoes. I go to the self checkout line and there was the lady there AGAIN. I wouldâve assumed she was doing her job but why was it when I ended up at the checkout line sheâs just standing at the shelfed wall just staring⌠doing absolutely nothing.
My groceries totaled up to be around 14 dollars, if that was what i was being stared down at for, wowđ.
I got home and 2 days later ( Today, I was there sunday) I decided to cut up some strawberries. Tell me why there is a strawberry in there that looks half eaten. I was so irritated i didnât bother taking a picture. Later today, I was going to make some potatoes and the picture was what I saw. Not the worst thing but it was the last straw.
Most of their produce is rotting and horrible. Maybe the manager should do a better job on inventory because clearly youâre over orderingđ.
My mom used to work for the aldi in the cumming area so I know this bs is absolutely ridiculous.

Read moreI go to this Aldi all the time and have personally never had a problem there until today. My girlfriend and I both went here today at around 6pm. Everything was fine until we went to go pay. I went to the car while she went to checkout at the front. I want to mention that my girlfriend suffers from memory loss and it is something she struggles with daily. She had forgotten that all her money was in cash and accidentally tried to use the self checkout without realizing that she couldn't use her card until the end. She did see the sign that said card only so it was truly an honest mistake. There was a black haired white lady with a neck tattoo that was over there when she asked for help. This lady was so unreasonably rude and disrespectful for absolutely no reason. I work in customer service and would never even imagine speaking to ANYONE that way. When my girlfriend asked for help the lady pointed at the sign and asked her if she even read it like she was an idiot. Then the lady proceeded to go to another employee in front of her and talk very loudly about her being stupid and not reading the sign. My girlfriend felt forced to say something because this lady was basically yelling so everyone could hear her. As a manager at a restaurant myself I would never accept this type of behavior from any of my servers or employees nor would I show that type of behavior myself. I wish we had her name so I could actually report her. I hope that this review gets someone's attention as I am hoping that someone will speak to her about her terrible attitude. She is very lucky that my girlfriend is as nice as she is because not everyone will be that way especially when she has that type of attitude at 6pm at an Aldi...
Read moreA cashier that ignores customers, doesn't speak to them, hands them a wadded up receipt. Jaleel has no business interacting with your customers. At least shopping at Kroger, Public, or Whole Foods I feel like they are happy to have me there.
I stopped by 07/01 @ 4:30PM. I needed a quarter to get a cart. I stood there waiting for the cashier to have an opening where I could get change. I noticed the cashier scanning and TOSSING a customers purchases into an empty cart. When it came time to tell the customer the total, he simply pointed to the display. She put in her credit card, when it beeped for her to remove it Jaleel began scanning the next order and handed her a crumpled receipt. I spoke with this woman and she was not impressed.
I had to go to another lane to get change and Jaleel wasn't about to let me interrupt HIS day. The other lane, the lady was friendly, I got my change and began shopping. I wanted to see if Jaleel treated everyone this way so I got in his line. Every customer before me in line wasn't greeted, spoken to, or thanked for shopping there. Most were handed a crumpled receipt. I had put my items in an empty box and put on the conveyor belt. Jaleel all but dumped my box out to land my groceries on the belt. Having shopped at Costco frequently I thought they would just scan the items in the box and place the box in the cart. I didn't know that they didn't have hand scanners to do this with or I'd have unpacked the box with more respect for my purchases that Jaleel did.
Honestly saving money is important, but I'll spend whatever I need to shopping at a place that WANTS me as a customer. Jaleel certainly didn't make me want to return to an Aldi...
