Being born and raised in Mexico and now residing near Chicago Illinois, Little Village Lao known as Little Mexico, I’m always looking for authentic Mexican food when I travel. I’m in town to see my boyfriend nd asked him for a good authentic Mexican restaurant. He’s Panamanian and doesn’t really eat Mexican food, I know, how is he alive lol jk. I went on google and searched, read reviews and found Tacos El Poli, as usual I was right. I’m able to tell not by the reviews but by the pictures and the menu, and the pictures here didn’t do it justice. Service was excellent, our waiter was super nice. As we were ordering, he mentioned tortillas were hand made!! YESSSS!!! I definitely recommend this place and will for sure come every time im in town. Even my boyfriend who las had Mexican food five years ago like the food. Thanks Tacos El Poli. We had tacos, because it’s what I was craving, they had quesadilla de flor de calabaza which was delish and grilled peppers and grilled cactus. Made me feel like I was in Mexico or back home in little village where they have so many authentic Mexican food...

New years eve I wanted tacos and my favorite taco spot was closed. So I was like oh they have good reviews and close to my house I’ll try it. Placed order over the phone. They said 15 minutes. Cool. Got there waited like additional 10 minutes , not going to lie the staff was super welcoming and inviting me to sit and offered if I wanted to drink so I give that a better rating I didn’t dine in so I can’t give more than 5 stars on that. After I got food and went to my car I pulled over to eat my tacos cause I was starving, next thing you know the meat in the tacos was out of the tacos, the tortillas were raw, like you could squeeze the tortillas and it would turn back to the masa. The tongue and tripa had zero flavor. It completely killed my chances of ever going back. Gave them a chance and they definitely did not live up to reviews or expectations. Stick to your favorite place for tacos other than the tacos I don’t know anything else about this place. Happy new years🥹 update 1/1/2024 my wife is throwing up and feeling sick hasn’t ate since the...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Social and let me just say, their tacos are absolutely top-notch. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were all incredibly friendly and the vibe was lively and fun.

But the real star of the show was the food. I ordered a variety of tacos and each and every one was bursting with flavor. The fillings were all cooked to perfection and the tortillas were warm and perfectly crisped. I especially loved the spicy salsa that was served on the side - it added an extra kick of flavor that really took the tacos to the next level.

Overall, my experience at La Social was fantastic. I can't recommend the tacos enough and I can't wait to go back and try more items on the menu. This is definitely a taco spot that deserves a 5...

We have a new favorite taqueria in Lawrenceville! This place is great! Poli and his staff treat you like family and wait on you as if it were a full service restaurant not a taqueria. The horchata here is the best I've drank. Free chips that were to me are the perfect thickness and great salsa with just a little heat. My torta al pastor was again GREAT on a slightly toasted loaf with just the right consistency to the bread. And a surprise when it came out, fries with it. All in all eating here was a great friendly experience I will be enjoying again very soon. I just wish my stomach were larger so I could try a big variety of menu items to review.

I ordered a burrito and it was a 0 out of 10. No flavor, or no seasoning and steak wasn’t good steak. It was filled with the part of the steak you can’t really chew and eat & is really hard…not even the fat part of the steak. I’m not sure but it was lower grade steak for sure. The rice was burned and not edible at all. The burrito was OVER LOADED with very largely cut green peppers. No burrito needs that many peppers. Normally I don’t leave bad reviews but this restaurant has potential so hopefully they read this and fix some changes. The restaurant was empty when I came by. I only came here to try something new.
