Excellent practice! Just had my first visit with my senior dog and they were ultra accommodating to both my pup and me! I’m impressed with their professionalism, speed, explanations of care, options for treatments, and follow-up! Definitely will return; highly recommend. The vet techs are incredible, and Dr. Mike was honest and really transparent with treatment plans and diagnostics for my pet. Thank you Apalachee Ridge staff! Oh, reception is also remarkable! Very accommodating and treat you like their only concern when engaging with you; even when it’s obvious that they are SUPER BUSY. Brooke, Shea, and other staff I didn’t have the opportunity to meet - you are truly wonderful people and your talents should be rewarded! 🐕❤️👩‍⚕️🩻🙏🏻😍

Update: Still going to Apalachee Ridge today. They helped me with the last days of my late girl, Okra. They were very supportive and extremely comforting with the humane euthanizing process 🐕‍🦺 💔.

After nearly a year, my wife and I went and picked up another rescue hound. This time a boy we named Acer (after the genus of Maple trees... not the laptop 😂). But I digress. Apalachee Ridge has been a delight as always in treating Acer who's just turned 1! We have also brought a feral/stray kitty who we took in from the streets, Fiona. She had been living in our neighborhood being fed by different neighbors for years, but we finally decided to take her for veterinary care and give her a permanent home. We're so happy to have them both and to know they're being checked on regularly with Apalachee Ridge! They even follow-up with us after every appointment to see how our fur-babies are doing. Fiona and Acer have acclimated with one another and now form their own cuddle-puddle on our couches, bed, and in front of the fireplace when having a fire. Makes me wanna cry happy tears.

I changed vets because the one across the street from my house that we were using has changed management and was down to one doctor so they were no longer open on Saturdays which is inconvenient for us. Even though Apalachee Ridge Animal Clinic is 30 minutes from where we live, it was the only vet near by open on Saturday which is very convenient for us. I was nervous to switch. We have 2 older pit bulls ages 7 and 8 years so they didn’t need to be seen, but we also have a French Bulldog puppy that needed her rabies shot, monthly flea and tick medication, and a nail trim. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I even had to call because we were running late and they said no problem. The tech was super friendly and so good with our pup. She did awesome with the nail trim on our squirmy little girl, and she fully explained everything they would be doing at the visit and the charge for each thing, so there were no surprises with the bill at the end. Dr. Mike was easy to talk to and provided a thorough exam and was gentle with her rabies shot. He even gave her a shot of Benadryl when we told him she had a lot of swelling in the area after her last vaccines. That seemed to prevent any swelling, either that or his technique was better than her last doctor’s. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the location isn’t as convenient as I would like and when I called to make the appointment the only available Saturday appointment was 3 weeks out, but being a new patient I can understand that. I don't know what to say, other than this animal hospital is amazing! This is the second dog we have brought in. The first was our pug, who was having issues that come with aging. The entire staff was compassionate and helpful through the process. NOW, we have a rescue English Bulldog! I took her in yesterday to get a good going over after the adoption was final. Again... the entire staff could NOT have been any nicer, more helpful and informative. EVen though they called me a "foster fail", it's OK. LOL! I admit I am, but they can't blame me after meeting the new member of our family. I can't imagine taking Khloe anywhere else!!! Thanks to all of you!!!

Edited to add: I've had Khloe since the end of June and she is THE best! She gets her nails trimmed every three weeks at Apalachee Ridge and she LOVES to be there. Yesterday I had to take her in to be checked, after an altercation with another dog. Dr Fish and the ENTIRE staff were amazing, as always! Calls to check on Khloe today were so appreciated. Can't imagine going any place else.

Edited on 1/30/2017 I don't know what else to say, other than these folks are THE best! Khloe has had some episodes that are very difficult to diagnose. Dr Fish and the entire staff have gone WAY over board in her care. We ended up going to UGA School of Vet Medicine after Dr Fish witnesses an episode. She is still on top of things and staying in touch with UGA as well as keeping me informed. The staff has become like family to us and Khloe loves being there with them, during her visits.
