If there was a half star I would do that. Took my Jeep for an Oil change (like to get it done at certified dealers to maintain a record of service) and was told there was a million things wrong with my car. (Not the issue) My car is a 2021 Wrangler. So its new and having this many issues was definitely unexpected. Dont have time to search the area for quality mechanics so decided its best to get the work done here. I was told that some of the parts that were needed were going to be overnighted to the location and i agreed to leave my vehicle with them till the next day where they were supposed to have the parts delivered in the morning and have them installed before I got out of work. Had to bum a ride but was ok with it since my vehicle was supposed to be fixed that day. Had not gotten an update from the dealer and even called/messaged them to ask with no response. Turns out there phone systems dont work as they should. Again not the point but definitely doesnt help with customer service. Finally get a reply well into the afternoon around 3 or 4pm and was told that the parts werent delivered. They failed to notify me and asked to leave my car again. Im new to the area so dont have any people to rely on for transportation. I told them no because I needed my car. I picked it up and told them i would try to drop it off within the next week or so. Was able to drop it off on my lunch break about week later (at this point they had the parts) i was told that the installation shouldnt take more than an hour. I planned on picking it up after work because i was able to bum a ride. Again no updates till about 4 hours later at this point my ride could not wait for me. I called and asked if they could pick me up from my apartment since i was just dropped off at home instead. They said that theyre workers who did courtest shuttles had gone home for the day but i could pick it up first thing the next morning at 7am. I told them that i work at 5am and if they could pick me up then and they said no. This place does not communicate at all with customers and provides false timelines with no fair communications. I took it here because of the distance and convenience but now im going to find a dealer with...
Read moreGot the service. An issue was identified but the mechanic said nothing and wrote nothing down on the 27point inspection. Immediately following the service test drove vehicle to make sure there weren't any issues. There were. Immediately came back and the service lady amd mechanic rode with me to verify the issue. Mechanic then says oh it's this.. but he never wrote it down. Gave my vehicle a clean bill of health. The alignment created a death wobble in my jeep which scared me quite a bit driving at 70mph on the highway. Mechanic said he never took it passed 55 but going up the same hill (he would've never known the spot I had experienced it) he goes top of this bet it'll happen. It did.. how would he of know? Wild.
We scheduled repairs for the steering damper for the next day. After repairs test drove it again and the issue was resolved.
The vehicle used to drive me home from the dealership to wait on the repairs and pick me up after driving me back to the dealership had a massively cracked windshield and animal hair all inside. Unsafe as heck and if I was allergic to whatever animals those were it would've been a bigger problem.
Staff were super friendly which I appreciated. But, there are major underlying issues at hand here for different levels of unprofessionalism at that dealership.
Only recommend for an immediate fix that you can not make it to another Chysler, Dodge, Jeep dealership. Otherwise, drive to OKC or somewhere else.
John (mechanic- DO NOT reccommend) Shaun (service department-mediocre at best) Service lady (I forget her name either Ariel or Barbara I believe) but she was freaking awesome and knew more then John the mechanic in my opinion. Noah (driver to drop off and pick up after service) super nice but the vehicle for transportation I almost refused to get in. The texts/call back number provided while waiting on services (no answer/response) not after texting for updates or leaving a voicemail. Should be of note I've never seen a vehicles odometer go up 20miles after drop off. What were they doing in my jeep for that long test driving? 10 miles sure for a very thorough test drive after repairs. 20...
Read moreVery disappointed in how our case was treated to say the least. This location displayed the textbook behaviors that make the general population wary of working with dealerships. We brought our vehicle in for service due to an error message indicating a problem with the DEF system (an issue that we had less than a year ago). Several parts of the emissions equipment were replaced last May by this dealership including the DEF pump and the DEF injector.
Some extremely questionable suggestions were offered up as solutions to our problem including trading our truck in, purchasing a new vehicle from them, moving away from diesels completely, or paying upwards of $4000 for replacement of an ECU. WHICH a member of their sales team openly admitted "might not even solve the problem" (this was mentioned during a phone conversation as they were trying to low ball us on our truck's supposed trade in value).
Thankfully, my husband took the vehicle home - after paying this dealership $180 for what ended up being an egregious misdiagnosis. A replacement DEF injector was installed for $60 elsewhere within the week. The problem immediately resolved. Also worth mentioning, we inquired about ordering a replacement through the dealership first and were quoted almost $400 for the part alone.
Misunderstandings do happen so giving the dealership the benefit of the doubt, my husband contacted them to update them on the situation. The DEF injector is a part that should still be covered by the dealership as it was a part replaced by them within the last year and it failed. Not only did they refuse to take accountability, they dismissed my husband and are also holding on to the $180 they charged to give us entirely false and incorrect information. We will be taking our business elsewhere and if a Dodge dealership is required, it will be one out of town. Two big thumbs down Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. Very disgusted and disappointed in how this was handled. We will be following up with corporate in the hopes that this can be investigated and corrected.
Edit: Acknowledgment that the dealership did refund us the $180 after some...
