They walked me through the available units like real estate agents showcasing miniature homes. “This one’s perfect for a small studio’s worth of furniture,” they said, motioning to a clean, well-lit unit. “But if you’re storing a dragon’s hoard, you might want something bigger.” Their humor sealed the deal.

The facilities? Impeccable. The hallways were as spotless as a sci-fi starship, and the climate control was a godsend for my fragile belongings. My grandmother’s antique mirror survived its stay without so much as a speck of dust or a crack. And the security features? Top-notch. The keypad entry and 24/7 surveillance made me feel like my belongings were safer there than in my own home.

However, every hero’s journey has its challenges. The pricing, while transparent, felt steep as the months rolled by. I began to wonder if my belongings were acquiring penthouse-level amenities I didn’t know about. And accessing my unit during peak hours could be a tad chaotic—like a traffic jam in the narrow halls of Middle Earth.

Competitive price for the size of unit. Buildings/grounds were kept clean; temp control was good. Very few bugs noted and those had "departed from this mortal coil". There were two managers in the 18 months were rented there; both were/are excellent. I dropped a star for two reasons: 1) There were "never" any carts available, at least in our building. My understanding is that they were stolen regularly. We just brought our own for our clean out. This was a big inconvenience for regular trips. 2) Poor communication: the front gate was hit by a vehicle and damaged to the extent that it was unusable. (Yes, there is a second gate for access.) It took what seemed to be an incredibly long time to repair (ie, MONTHS). When repair was completed, we discovered that our access code no longer worked--and were just lucky that the office was still open for that day! Turns out that a new entry system was installed during the repair. That's great, but where was our notification of all this? So, no email about the damaged, unusable front gate; no updates as to its repair timeline, and nothing about how to access the property with the new system. I've almost talked myself into giving only 3 stars, but the place did serve a good purpose for us, for a good price, and the staff...

Great units, spacious & small as needed, climate controlled, good deals online, no (live) roaches or rodents, as they have decent pest control in place, & easy to book online or in person (have done both as needed). Honestly, the reason this place has the high scores in these reviews is due to the manager. Brooke is extremely industrious. I think she now has a second person helping, but when I booked last year she was doing 2 people's jobs on her own; successfully! The only downside is the head office don't know what they are doing & the rate for my 10 x 8 was $69 in August 23, it has gone up to $89 now in Jan 24. Extra Space Storage sent out a 2nd mistaken notice after that too, so the system erroneously showed $110. Brooke made them honor the original rate increase, however it is still not great. For anyone who doesn't know, if you pay in advance (for a year or however long you definitely know you need the storage) you can lock in your current rate. Do that if you don't want a rate hike!
