Large store with tons of merchandise, unique items and reasonably priced goodies. I tend to not grab a cart upon entering because I don't like maneuvering through the narrow aisles with a bulky cart the entire time so I generally will make note of the booth # and take a picture of something I wasn't to purchase so I can grab a buggy once I'm done browsing and grab all my goodies at once to make it more convenient. It wasn't until I finished browsing the store that I realized there's absolutely no organization or order to the way the booths are laid out throughout the store. Booth #7 is next to booth #201 is next to booth #88 making it incredibly frustrating and time consuming to do a walk through to find the items I wanted to purchase. Every other market with this layout and structure has the aisles and booths laid out in an order that's easy to locate within the huge shops. This made for a terrible experience and a lasting annoyance that will probably keep me from coming back to this location anytime soon. I also purchased a unique sweater from a booth that was marked at 50% off "all clothing". Upon checking out the sweater was rang up full price. I questioned the cashier, showed her a picture of the sign at the booth and she even walked to the booth to triple check but did not honor the discount because she could not get a hold of the vendor which was questionable and dishonest given she saw the sign with her own eyes. I still made my purchase, but overall the experience here will not be forgotten...
Read moreUpdated review!! Apparently I had this place confused with the flea market in Mobile! So, deleted entire review!! Bama is great! All indoor, great prices, unusual finds and very friendly staff! I could have spent hours here! So much to see and buy! I bought 2 1920's era light fixtures for $20 plus tax. 1 was just the main 5 bulb holder part but the other had the chain, canopy, sockets, etc...! Just needs wired. Original painted areas. This is just an example of a great price in my eyes! A complete fixture with wiring in tact can fetch anywhere from $100-$1,000 on eBay and in antique stores. Ya just have to be able to identify these items and be willing and able to invest the time and minimal money to replace missing or damaged parts! In the 1case, I just need to replace the wiring and possibly add 5 suitable globes! Globes aren't necessary but would increase the value if I buy authentic 1's and just bring it back to working condition! But anyway, great mall! I loved it and will return if I ever make it back up that way! Get there early because there is lots to see!! (Pics are the 2 fixtures. 1 was $15 the...
Read moreSometimes you find some really good stuff in here. Sometimes you just see the same stuff you've been seeing for the past 5 years because they don't change vendors enough. I'm starting to think that some people are just using this place as a storage unit because they set their prices so high on some of their things that it's almost like they really don't want to sell it. We find things we want in here and we think that the price might come down after a while but it never does. Not even after 3 years! I just think they should ask their vendors if they intend on selling their items because otherwise they are just keeping their hoarding problem somewhere other than their house. Let's get some new vendors and people who are ACTUALLY looking to sell because you have people who ACTUALLY want to buy but they are logical enough to know the cost of things! This place has...
