Called a week before my sister's wedding, which I was in as the maid of honor, seeing if a somewhat last-minute hem could be done on my dress. Vinda assured me that it would be ready by wednesday. I was so happy because I knew it was kind of last minute.. I went in with the shoes I was going to wear with the dress, she pinned it where it needed to be hemmed, she also said she could send it out to have it steamed for wrinkles.. I thought that was great! got a text Tuesday, the dress was ready but waiting to come back from the cleaners who I assumed was who is steaming the dress. Called Wednesday she still hadn't gotten it back. Called me thursday. Dress is ready come pick it up.. I went in, picked up the dress, paid. Assumed the work was done so no need to try it on before the wedding. So the day of the wedding I put the dress on with the shoes and quickly realized nothing had been done to the dress at all. Just steamed!? So needless to say I tripped over it all day long at my sister's wedding. Upon checking my credit card to see what I was charged and I was only charged for the steaming. I'm curious as to why nothing at all was done to my dress!?!?. At least I wasn't charged which is why I gave two stars and not one. I am NEVER going there again, nor recomending...super dissapointed, waste of my time!!! Word to the wise, check your stuff before a major...
Read moreDO NOT USE. Save yourself the hassel. I took a shirt and pants in. The pants needed hemming and brought in at the waist. The shirt needed brought in at the waist. They charge 55 dollars for this which I though was a little pricey. I was in the military for many years and had many uniforms altered and I never paid this much for this service. Either way I went a head with it. When I went to pick it up, I was informed that it was cash payment only, which she did not inform me it was when I dropped of. I suspect something fishy about them being a cash bussiness only. I did not have cash wish me and had to leave and come back later with cash. Shame on me for not inspecting the work when I picked up the items. I didn't check them untill I had arrived t home. The pants were hemmed, but the waist had not been touched. In fact it still had the pin that marked how much it had to be brought in. The same with the shirt. It had not been touched and the pins that showed how much to take in were still in it. I called them up and they would not refund my money, or finish the work. Her excuse was that she was busy with...
Read moreI had one pair of pants taken in here (losing weight). They did the wasteband and just a tiny section near the knee on the outside of the pant let.. The woman in the shop did NOT speak any English and communication was difficult. When I returned to pick them up I asked "wouldn't it have been better to sew up the inside of the legs rather than pinch a little spot by the knees on the outer edge?
The owner responded with "too much work". Then I proceeded to the check out counter to pay and that little stitch cost me $25.00! YIKES....heading elsewhere for my alterations. Rude, overpriced, unprofessional, doesn't speak English and her sewing skills are lacking. Good luck to all who use this shop.
Anyone know where the Jamaican man went that used to be by the claw shop? HE WAS...
