I ordered a TV stand from this company that did not arrive for nearly three months, when they originally told me it should take only 2-4 weeks. I paid an extra $25.00 for them to assemble it for me. When it arrived, they broke it while trying to put it together. When they called to tell me this, they told me "we broke it and you are going to have to wait another 2-4 weeks for a new one". I told the women on the phone that because I was without a TV stand, my TV was currently on the floor in my living room, to which she simply apologized. When I arrived to pick up the ottoman that I had also ordered, the salesman that I originally worked with offered I could take a loaner TV stand they had available, and when they received the one I ordered, they'd deliver it to my house and swap it out with the loaner. I appreciated this very much and waited another 4 weeks.
After those 4 weeks had passed, I called to follow up. A woman named Amy told me that she had checked on the order a few days prior to my call and noticed that the third party company they ordered it from had never sent it. So, they had to order it a third time. I was very polite and understanding when she told me this. However, I didn't appreciate that nobody called to inform me about the issue. I wouldn't have known about this delay had I not followed up.
I waited a little over a week and then called again, to see if I could receive any sort of compensation for my patience. The man I spoke with was very rude and laughed at me when I told him I would like to keep the TV stand, but still get a discount of some sort, if possible. He said that most likely would not be possible, but to call back the following day to speak with Amy, and that she might be able to do something for me. Amy ended up calling me the next day and also told me they would not be willing to give me any sort of compensation, but that if I wanted a refund, they could do that.
I waited two more weeks after that phone call, and then I decided that I finally wanted a refund. They instructed me to bring the loaner TV stand back to them, and once that was done, they would issue a refund. I did receive multiple apologies from Amy, which I appreciated. I had planned on returning the loaner TV stand to claim my refund within a week; however within that week, the one I had ordered arrived, and they ended up delivering it to my house. At that point, I was just glad to have finally received what I ordered three months ago.
I understand that working with a third party company does not always go as planned and sometimes problems like these are out of your control. I was just highly disappointed with the lack of communication, as well as the insensitivity and dismissiveness towards the situation.
I have read other reviews about this company, and it appears this is not the first time that these similar issues have happened.
