North 40 Outfitters — Local services in Lewiston

Dropped off a Husqvarna chainsaw thats less then 8months old with damage to the chain break. Chose North 40 because they claimed they could handle warranty. Talked to their tech multiple times over the phone to verify damage. Ten day later get a call saying its all fixed come on in. Once in and asked about warranty, no one wanted to take any iniative toward even seeing if it was warranteed, in the middle of asking their tech literally walked away and started stocking shelves and woundlt look me in the face. Called for manager, and all Denise could do was keep asking if i was sure it was warranteed, without even confirming my claim. The hole in metal next to chain was still clearly there, while theyre charging me $130. for the service. I asked if he could show me what he fixed, they would not. They wouldnt even start the saw. Then after clearly not getting any answers nor remedy for my situation, Denise said that she had to carry the saw to the front to make sure i paid. This is right after a gentlemen just purchased brand new saw and was allowed to carry it to the front on his own, and made sure to start his and verify it was working. I literally spend 5 to 600 dollars a month at this location for all my farm materials and food. Not only does that end today, i will be reaching out to Husqvarna, and letting them know how their dealer is handling this. Im seriously debating taking them to small claims court, to seek remedy for my time, and money. Blown away by the incompetence. What happen to customer service...

I have been looking at water pumps for home and ranch use for nearly a month now. After visiting many stores in the Orofino area-and eventually, Homedepot in Lewiston, We decided to stop in at North. 40 outfitters. Home depot had little time or experience on the issue and I left rather dissapointed. When I got to North 40 OutfittersI I came across 3 men and asked for help from. Their best "Pump Guy". That's when I bumped into Fred Watson! Fred was an old friend and a knowledgeable Pump guy! He had me everything I needed within 20 minutes. The time and knowledge Fred Watson shared with me earned North 40 OutfittersI $375.00! In addition! Fred Watson provided me with the knowledge I needed to make an informed decision. North 40 OutfittersI is my new go to place and Fred is my go to guy. Thanks Fred. You've been a good friend for more than 40 years. Thanks for taking the time to listen to my Water/irrigation problem and effortlessly solving the issue in a fraction Of the time Home Depot wasn't even willing to commit to. Great Job Fred Watson! Don't buy firearms from North 40 Lewiston. I am one to buy local if I'm not screwed. I went in last week and purchased a firearm only to have them tell me that they only use one local FFL, strike one. They would not send the firearm to my preferred FFL. Strike two, they charge $25 for shipping to FFL which is literally 4 MI away. If they would let me use my preferred FFL it would have been picked up for free. Strike three, I asked them if I were to purchase three firearms at the same time with the freight only be $25...NOPE. $25 for each firearm. I did purchase the one firearm from them, got home and purchased two more online. Check around you'll be able to buy a lot cheaper online. I can't buy local that businesses run this way. 8/8/2024 I still haven't purchased firearms from North 40. Come to think of it...I haven't purchased anything from North 40 since my experience with purchasing of the only...
