Panda Express — Restaurant in Lewiston

Latest review 6/15/2018: I stopped in to see if my last visit was just a bad day. Nope. When my dad and I walked in we had to wait. No other customers were at the counter and the business was very quiet. After about a minute or so another gentleman walked in. Once it came time to serve, the guy that walked in after us was served first. Unfortunately, it didn't get better. The employee that helped us was not paying attention to what we were saying. It was like she was off in another world. We had to wait again for the food to be made which is fine. The problem was that once it was ready, the waitress called us up to the counter to get the food. Most Panda's are courteous enough to bring the food out to the customer. I guess that's not the case at this branch. Another employee was outside cleaning with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth and on the phone. This did not exactly impress me either. At least the tables were clean this time. I give this branch a solid 3.5 stars. It needs a lot of work. Other choices in the area are now better. I'm not sure what happened at this Panda. It used to be really good and busy with tons of customers. Moscow's Panda is now a top notch 5 star branch. I would recommend this branch if you are in the mood for Panda.

Latest review 6/7/2018: I believe your branch has slipped. I'm not sure what happened? This Panda used to be the very best. I made it a point to stop in every time I was visiting Lewiston. I also noticed that this time it was not busy as it usually is. For starters, there were very few people in the restaurant. It was not busy but for some reason most the tables where filthy even though there were plenty of employees who seemingly were not busy in the back. Next, I was not offered a sample as is policy and customary for Panda restaurants. I didn't personally care about this part but Panda does. We order the vegetable sides with a bigger plate when we come in for health reasons. I don't care for the sauce they put on the vegetables because the excessive corn starch makes the vegetables a bit slimy. This is usually not a problem. I have them hold the sauce. The lady serving us this time decided to give us a hard time about it. Really? I have never had any restaurant do this, especially a Panda. Even a lowly McDonalds will hold whatever without question. In the end, she did do this for us but gave us a stern warning that it would only be this one time. This unpleasant experience may have been just a bad day. I should downgrade them from a 5 to a 3 star but want to give them a chance to go back to greatness. I will give them some time and go back to see if I can raise the stars back to a 5 or must lower it accordingly.

First Review when it was 5 star : Top notch quality! Even within the panda express chain this beats the others hands down. Yes it can get busy, but they wont rush. They will take their time and do a good job. They are fairly courteous and the atmosphere matches the price of the food. The cleanliness is better than most other comparables. Other restaurants would charge double for this kind of cuisine. If you are in lewiston and on a budget this would be my #1 recommendation for...

I have tried this place several times now and every time it gets worse! The first time they forgot the teriyaki sauce(I live over an hour away) when I brought this to their attention the following week they said yeah they run out from time to time. When I asked for a some sort of retribution due to the fact the chicken was not edible without the sauce as it literally went in to the garbage, they said no I should I’ll f of called and let them know even if they were out! Second time I went I ordered the sizzling shrimp it was ok and was reasonably priced, I also ordered a meal that was acceptable the third time I preferred the sizzling shrimp again only this time it was smothered in waaay too much sauce and the majority of it was green beans massive lack of onions and carrots with about 6-7 pieces of shrimp for wait for it $15!!!! Like seriously over priced and sauced I couldn’t even eat it all it was way too saucy. Absolute disregard for quality and understanding of customer service! I asked to speak with the manager the second trip and she was so rude and disrespectful I am surprised she still has a job there is no way she would last anywhere of quality as a manager. Disappointed and will not be giving them another opportunity to basically provide me with subpar food...

I visited this store location on 01/26/2015 about 30 minutes before it was to close. My two friends and I didn't have that high of expectations seeing as how to close to closing they were. When we entered, the staff were attentive and very helpful. There were food items that they were out of that we normally order (like orange chicken). We would have been happy to order something different, but the staff was insistent that it was okay, and that they would make some more for us. That was so nice of them! We were able to finish our order and take our seats. When closing out, Bitsy was extremely nice and helpful. When the cooks were done making the rest of our orders, Bitsy personally brought them to our table. She was apologetic that they weren't ready earlier. We assured her that it was okay and expressed our gratitude.

I was extremely impressed with this location. I have been to numerous Panda Express stores and really enjoy their food. The food was tasteful and fresh, the restaurant was clean and comfortable. I was overjoyed with the service. I will most certainly be coming back the next time I am in Lewiston.

P.S. I would love to have a store in Moscow, I would be there...
