Nope. I called the 118 Cedar Lane Lexington NC location and inquired about the lowest price they had. I was given the price of $75, due to the fact that it was used and the ice maker was inoperable. The delivery driver gave me a quote of $140 due to his schedule, but the office manager said $100. I let the office know I needed to step away to my car to discuss something with my husband in regards to this. We were not gone even 7 minutes as my husband was suggesting a neighbor who could come and get it, saving the repairman/delivery driver the trouble since he was tight with his schedule. We went back inside, and the office manager said it had been sold, and the office manager didn't know it, is what we were told. We were shown a higher priced fridge, rusted on both sides and not plugged up and running (like the one we originally were coming to get), and for $200. We have a disabled family member, there's also other severe medical issues in our home with family members. We need to keep food cold, along with healthier food to reserve. Our gas, our time was wasted, not to mention a work schedule to think about during Thanksgiving week. The good news is that there's a closer appliance store that sells freezers and refrigerators in Greater condition. I was extremely upset that this woman was running that place and allowing her delivery driver to call the shots. This is almost exactly what happens in latin countries. It's not business it's poor quality. By the way, I have family in Alabama, and this "methodology" doesn't set well with the natives in their state. But then, north Carolina has a ways to go to change. I've heard about customer service experiences before in Lexington and the surrounding triad, very similar. This week and for the next month, I will have a few family members from Alabama, to come by and get their own pics. I hope the store can become GREAT, not better. Read moreI have been doing business with Dan (owner) and the team over at Appliance King for years. I hate to say it, but it seems they have gotten too big to the point where they dont care about their customers anymore.
You use to be able to go get a decent deal, entire appliance set and they would sacrifice profit for their customers. Unfortunately, this isnt the case anymore.
I went in there the other day and everything I saw was @ 95% retail price. It was like I was shopping at Lowes or Home depot. I asked to speak to Dan and was told he was busy, I told them I was fine to wait for him.a while. After 30 minutes and him walking by me 3-5 times a sales man said he couldn't see me.
I worked with that salesman on a set and they barely offed me any discount, more then likely because I jas to pay his commission on the sale of top of them just being at the point where they only care about a higher profit margin.
P.S. I would like to hear about other customers that have had a similar experience with them lately.
It's too bad and I have to say that I'm truly disappointed. Customers like you and me built their business ober the years and now they are turning their backs on us.

Her knowledge of the products and honesty about the quality of pieces compared to each other was refreshing. We honestly felt like she was looking out for us and not just trying to sell us something.
