KFC — Restaurant in Lexington

Although the Colonel has left the building. He did that many years ago when everything comes from corporate. Nothing is left to chance at these individual restaurants. Definitely that makes me sad they have dropped some of their good stuff. Like baked beans, and a real full size chicken breast. They have a centerpiece and side piece breast. The price point has gone up over the years for the regular chicken plates and buckets. Serving size on individual sides is too small with those teeny tiny cups. But overall the $5 fill ups are a good value. And sometimes they have family specials that aren't too bad. That is if the server remember to feel your family bowls up . They have to remember these are for families of four or more. The chicken tenders are some of the best in the business. So I did shoot their stars in the good category. Pretty much they do offer the three C's which is my diners and dives criteria. Which is cleanliness, cost-effectiveness, and of course great customer service. They don't do much food preparation at these restaurants anymore. It is all Corporation food service now. They don't want to have the various restaurants mess their formula up. But even though the Colonel is far removed from this establishment. It still is a okay diners and dives established in a pinch. And still people when you bring this stuff to a covered dish dinner or supper people will fight for the Colonel's chicken. May God bless...

I Placed a mobile order at 4:40 It said it would be ready at five o'clock. The app said it was ready , so I went in Stood at the counter for 10 minutes nobody addressed me. Finally got some body's attention they said my order wasn't ready yet. the 3 people who walked in after me.Ordered at the kiosk got their orders and we're eating. I watch 2 people who walked in to order at the counter leave in frustration. Went up again to ask where my order was about 50 minutes into this process. I Was told they were out of biscuits and I would have to wait anther 10 min, that they only had 3 of the 6 available. She wound up giving me little buns Instead of biscuits because I couldn't wait any longer. The young kids (especially the one working the drive through window he needs to be fired) in there are lazy don't acknowledge any one and do not help their coworkers. Ordered a white chicken bucket, extra crispy. Was told it would take 20 min because the "fryer was down". Paid for the order and said we'd be back. Went back 20 min later and chicken was still not ready. They looked understaffed and did give us some apple pies to make up for our wait. I wouldn't be complaining at all except that when we got home, the chicken in the bucket was a soggy mess. Definitely NOT like any chicken I ever bought from KFC.
