Went to purchase chain saw after weeks of looking.I chose here verses Lowe’s to support small business and always been treated fairly. However, today was a different story. I give 2 stars because the gentlemen that helped me (Kelly) was excellent went above and beyond to help me, answer all my questions. He truly was phenomenal, if I have to go back to handle any warrenty things regarding my purchase I will see him and only him. Now, to fun part, I was disrespected not once but twice by 2 separate people is a understatement and one of those being upper management. I have always shopped here and never had a problem. After today I will not shop with the exception of my warranty with my purchase and once that is up will never return. Cashier was rude from the start with customers in front of us and behind us including us. Over charged me $139 plus tax and when I nicely tried to ask her to take a look at it again continued to get very mad. I was completely puzzled by the fact she was acting this way and trying to respect her the customers behind me I felt as if I was rushed and not given the opportunity to simply ask again about my purchase that was double charged. The card reader had already processed my tap to pay and transaction was completed. I then was rushed out the door ask for my receipt and was rudely told where she put it after I had to ask. Spoke with Kelly again outside after he went over my chainsaw with me and he in fact agreed based off reading my receipt I was charged double for 1 product. He nicely said walk with me in here and we can get your money right back. Needless to say the cashier was rude with him and still would not slow down long enough to allow someone to nicely explain. Pointed fingers when no one was pointing fingers. I was then taken to a separate counter and then had to go back to get my refund. After standing in line again patiently waiting another lady from upper management had come and got me to fix it and stated she did not want anymore mistakes to happen. Which I appreciate her being kind about however things quickly changed again when she changed her approach/attitude tried to blame me when in fact even though I was double charged I was not being rude or disrespectful. She not only disrespected me but a friend that was with me. I asked for cash back verses going back on my card of which I used to purchase and she hesitated to tell me no and then tried to tell me they had a policy that can’t get cash back due to I could dispute the charge with my bank and get double the money back. Well, as I told her I’m not that type of person and that is fraud. She would not give me my cash back and told me my money would go back on my card the next day of which i informed her it would not because the way my bank processes refunds/charges that it would take 5-7 business days. She informed me that if it wasn’t back on my card the next day to call her. I understand everyone is human and we all make mistakes in which I make them everyone does I was nice and respectful trying to tell both of these ladies that without being mad however they took the wrong approach and decided to be disrespectful and point fingers at the customer they just double charged. I was puzzled by the way I had been treated and then how management handle the situation on top of. Stating the cashier was ready to leave and that she will talk with her and sees many errors here but best to let her sleep on it. I get that however, I feel as if they could have handled this situation better than they did. Right is right and wrong is wrong. The customer is not always right however your approach and how well you handle a situation good or bad goes a long way especially in a business that is as reputable as this one. As stated I have shopped here for awhile and send business here. However, after this trip I can’t help but think that I will be treated with same disrespect and don’t want to risk the frustration. I will take my money/time to drive extra miles to avoid the headache. And still don’t have...
Read moreIf I could give them 0 stars I would. I called Thursday 4/29/21 and asked about a pink 30oz. Yeti Rambler to see if they had the color I needed, spoke to the sweetest man, told him I lived in Asheboro but had to go out of town and would not be able to get up their until Saturday and asked about their hold policy. He said he didn't think they could hold for that long, which was fine and I said I would be up their on Saturday 5/1.
I called around 4:45pm on Saturday, spoke to a lady who was very rude, I told her that I had previously spoke to someone about a yeti and said I know you close at 5pm but I would be there at 4:58, just making sure the doors would still be open. She shrugged and her response was; "Ugh well you can try, I mean we close at 5." So I replied okay well ill give it a try thank you, she said mhmm and hung up.
When I got to the door on the front side of downtown it was 4:58, first time I had ever been there so I was unaware there was another side. I walked up to the door and it was locked, there was a lady behind the register and another employee standing their talking. When I went to open the door, they looked at me and started pointing, thinking they were telling me to pull the door or open it another way, a guy came up to the door pulled his mask down, and being smart he put his hands to his mouth and made a sad face and pointed to the time on the door, and said to drive around back.
Already being frustrated at the rudeness of the lady when I called, I walked in the other side of the store and he had made his way down to the other entrance just to tell me, he was just messing with me and I told him that it was okay, but I already spoke with a lady earlier who was very rude and he didn't make it any better, he still had the nerve to continue to talk back to me and said, well that wasn't me. My reply back was its all good.
Unfortunately I had to purchase the rambler for my mom because this store was the only one who had it, but I will not be back.
Please go to another...
Read moreToday is May 11, 2025 and I've had this mower for over a week. It's a STIHL RMA 460 V, 19” Steel deck, self-propelled, AK System. I've never had a battery mower. So I was apprehensive at first. That said, so far I'm very happy with it. The only thing negative, so far is the limited battery time. I also purchased 2 extra batteries and a extra charger. But I still have to go and do something else, because just over an hour I have two batteries charging and one dead.
Positive - I use it for trimming, so being 19" it works great. I mow banks and ditches, so being self propelled and lighter then my older gas mower, it's easier to handle. Especially because I'm over 70 years old. I have a lot of roots ( see pictures ) in my yard and unlike my older gas mower this glides over them and not getting caught on them like before.
I'm hoping because of the name (STIHL) I get many years use.
If you're looking into getting a battery mower to mow lawn's ( not just to trim with ) I would suggest getting a wider deck. Less time mowing and make sure to get more batteries and even an extra charger. Less down time.
P.S. I bought this at Lanier Ace Hardware in Lexington NC and I would like to thank them for helping me on deciding to get this mower with a Steel deck ( Not Plastic). Plus it's nice that they can work on it in the future if...
