I always LOVE my visits to Perfect Blend, and typically, I would highly suggest this coffee shop to everyone. But today I had my first unpleasant experience and I think it’s fair to warn others about it.
If you want delicious coffee, you should certainly come to this coffee shop, as long as it’s not within 30 minutes of their closing time. It seems to me that they should change their hours to close at 3:30pm instead of 4:00pm (this was on a Saturday) because they were not willing to produce a quality product so close to their closing time. We ordered 5 lattes at 3:50pm and we received 5 cups of milk and sugar. We didn’t even notice until we got in the car with them that they had almost no espresso in them at all. My guess is that they made 4 shots of espresso, and just split it amongst the 5 lattes to save time, because they were all almost entirely white (which is not the usual here). When I got home with the milk, my mom and grandmother were so disappointed. Luckily I have an espresso machine at home, so I was able to pull a couple espresso shots for each of us so that we could actually enjoy our lattes after all.
Unfortunately, I am disappointed that I paid full price for 5 cups of milk and sugar, and then had to go home and make the coffee myself. Seems like if anything, it should be the other way around at a coffee shop. I completely understand from the employees perspective of wanting to close and get home asap, but at what cost? My family and I have been regulars here for a few months now, and it seems like we may have to find a new coffee shop if this ever happens again.
So overall, I would almost always give Perfect Blend 5 stars, but today was a very dissatisfying, 1 star experience. Due to that, I’ll average this out at 3 stars and hope that the baristas can learn from this experience and make sure to always put the customer first. Consistency is key to keeping returning customers, so let’s hope this was...
Read moreMy wife and I went in today and ordered 2 cold brews (mocha cold brew). They didn’t taste right. I told the girl that made it that it didn’t seem right , and she stated “The cold brew is exceptionally strong today”. I said OK, and sat down. My wife took a sip of hers, and immediately stated “This is not right, and I cannot drink this. It tastes like black coffee”. Wife took her to the counter and asked if they could remake it, or add something to lighten it up a bit. The girl went to the back and had another girl come out. This other girl came out from the back, and said “We didn’t do anything wrong, I make the cold brew every day, so, why would we give you a free coffee. We can’t be giving out free stuff because you don’t like the taste! You can buy another coffee!” My wife didn’t ask for a “free” coffee, just for a replacement coffee.
This was, by far, the absolute worst customer service I have EVER seen! We have been coming here for 3 years, getting the same coffee. We will never be coming back here again! There was only 1 (one) sip of hers coffee missing. Absolutely an embarrassment to this business. She has no place servicing people with that attitude. She did this in a shop FULL of people, spoke very demeaning and condescending to my wife, IN FRONT OF EVERYONE. This embarrassed the hell out of my wife, and she walked out in tears. We will never go back here again. I will drive across town to Starbucks...
Read moreWe have been coming here for years. We drive 30 minutes to do so. Over the past several months there has been a decline in the service. This morning, specifically, this is how our visit went. I ordered my coffee as the cashier listened and rang it up. The barista immediately started telling the cashier she was ringing up the wrong item, and they proceeded to argue over what the technical name of my cup of coffee with vanilla and steamed cream was actually called. (I ordered a large coffee with vanilla and a little steamed half and half). Neither one of the ladies are new to the shop as I have seen them many times before. We also ordered food, but the cashier failed to give us "our number" to identify the order. Once the food was ready, she walked around the cafe, asking who it belonged to. She then approached my son and me and said, "Did you have a Boss Man?" I said yes, and she DROPPED and TOSSED the food at the table where we were sitting and waiting, then walked away without a word. My son said, "WOW," and I said, "Let's go." Do better guys. Customer service is the backbone of your business. Good coffee is not worth being treated poorly, especially when there is competition all around you with the same poor...
