My husband and I came in with the idea of getting rings (my mother in law had made for us) resized. They were made out of my father in law’s wedding ring. He recently passed a month ago. We also were interested in getting a small gold band to go with that ring for me. We came in. An older gentleman approached us. We told him what we needed. He asked where we got the rings. They were still in the previous jewelry store’s bag and case. We explains the situation. He asked why we didn’t just go back to the place we got them (So much for help). We explain they were made in a place in Texas. He again asked us how we got them. He asked us the same question 3 or 4 different times. He then asked how long my father in law had been dead. He then said this was not gold that had been melted down and made into new rings. He said they were new. We explained it was not. We told him my mother in law had to add more gold to make the rings. He said that was not the case. He said if it was, then it would have been a lot more gold. I’m sorry, how exactly am I supposed to take this? Also, how is this helpful? He sized me incorrectly. Didn’t asks if we needed anything and just told us they would call with the rings. We were there to buy another ring. After we walked out and discussed the interaction, we decided to walk back in and get our rings back. They were too precious and sentimental for some place to ruin them. The way we saw it, if your costumer serves sucks, how can we trust you with something so important to us? We walked back in and told a younger guy we were unhappy and just wanted our rings back. He literally could have not cared any less. All he said is “Sorry. I’ll get your rings”. Skip this place! Go to Shelia Bayes Jewelers. They were literal angels. We ended up getting 2 rings to go with the ring I...

I took my ring to Rivards to get it resized. I thought after reading all the good reviews that this would be an easy process. This wasn’t the case. When I called they had told me a ring resize took 4 days and was $20. I understand that cost and time can vary but they did not disclose that information. My fiancé took the ring to get resized and the lady at the counter said it will be $50 and will take a week.. well he was already there so we decided to just drop it off anyway. They called the following week and said it was ready.. I went to go pick it up and as I was driving I had noticed that my ring was gold and not the white gold it was originally (I also checked the receipt copy they had given me and it states white gold on it). I went back to the store and told the lady at the counter what happened. She told me that white gold can turn gold from wear and tear and has to be dipped every so often... I had the ring for a total of 4 days prior to dropping off. She tried making me pay even after I told her everything!! Thank god a different lady showed up and said it wouldn’t be any cost. She told me that it would be another week. That makes it 2 full weeks that they have had my engagement ring which I think is ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!! I can’t tell you how many times in the last couple weeks I’ve said “I don’t have it back yet, it’s still at the jewelers” when people have asked to see my ring. The ladies there didn’t seem to care at all, didn’t offer to expedite the service, and didn’t even offer an apology at the very least!! I was considering going back for our wedding bands but I’m definitely going to go...
Read moreBought an engagement ring from here. Ask for Margaret - she did a great job helping me pick out a setting that I thought would look beautiful on my fiancée’s finger (it does!). She also worked to find me the perfect diamond for it that fell within my budget, but still looked amazing.
They have also taken care of us each time we’ve been back - they helped us find some wonderful wedding bands, and they offer to clean my fiancée’s ring every time, unprompted.
For a lot of us guys, buying a ring is a stressful experience, due to the relatively high cost and also from being clueless about rings/jewelry (that was me). The people at Rivard will guide you through the process, teach you about the 4 C’s, and help you find the perfect ring that works with your budget.
I went to a couple other places before Rivard when I was searching for the perfect engagement ring - no other place made me feel at ease like I did here with Margaret. One place in the Summit actually tried to sell me on a ring whose diamond had an obvious yellow tint - I made my way out of there as fast as I could. I am so very glad I found this place instead. A friend highly recommended it to me, and I’m glad I took his advice.
The fiancée gets compliments every day on the ring, and she tells me all the time how much she loves it. It makes my heart happy knowing I got her the perfect ring. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the fine folks at Rivard - thank you so much for your...
