I wasn't sure what to expect as I've not had "restaurant ramen" before. The noodles are much thicker than your traditional packaged ramen. At first, it was weird due to that because of the texture & taste but after a few bites, I didn't even think about it. I am about 40 min away from the restaurant & I got it to go. The noodles were a little stuck together as a result. So I ended up having to cut them into chunks. That was also weird initially & probably contributed to the initial impression - you know how the mind is lol
I got the curry chicken ramen bowl. It was so yummy! But a word of warning... It says spicy and spicy is an understatement. It was very, very spicy! So, if you are reading this & have sensitivities or aversions to spicy, this is definitely not an item for you. All other spicy lovers, give this dish a try!
Will I return? I sure hope so! I was only in that area of Lexington for a work event and it's typically considered out of the way for me since I do not live in Lexington. That said, I have thought about the dish a few times since trying it and will need to find a reason to pass that...
Read moreRamen was really disappointing. Noodles stuck together in a doughy clump, and just bland, underwhelming broth and pork. Vegetable tempura was okay, though cut really unevenly. They also served everything like it was to-go (minus a bag) even though I was eating there. Unlike all of the pictures on their website, I didn't see a single non-disposable piece of tableware while I was there, which is a pretty big disservice to the food imo (and it needs the help).
Just go to Michikusa. It's the same price, served properly, and the food is much better. Their specials menu is also fantastic, and full of things you won't find elsewhere.
The people saying this is the best Japanese in Lexington clearly haven't had good Japanese food, which is crazy, because we actually have some good options in Lexington. And shockingly, fast food...
Read moreDid you know Dashers are only contracted through DoorDash? Not the restaurant they pick up from. We are not your employees and or we are not subjected to YOUR rules and demands.
The confirm pickup button is just that , confirmation of pickup. That’s between DoorDash and the Dasher. Most dashers confirm in their car once they are ready to proceed with delivery. Asking Dashers to hit confirm and holding the order hostage is not only extremely paranoid, but creates a situation where you are treating the dasher like a thief or a criminal. Also it’s not part of the contractual agreement the dasher has with DoorDash. My suggestion is if you do not trust Dashers or the DoorDash service to ensure no loss in revenue, stop using the service! We aren’t your employees and we aren’t here to take orders from...
