They bait and switch on pricing. They tell you one price on a repair to get you in the door and then say that it's going to be significantly more. The first time they did this was when I brought in a laptop to fix the headphone jack. They quoted $35, then ended up charging over $80. I decided to give them another chance and try them again for a more simple task: installing some new pc parts into a mostly built pc. A very simple task. I'm told it will be $50-$100, and they will check it out the next day. 2 days pass, and I haven't heard from them, I called to check, and now they quote $150 (which was absolutely sure to go up once it was done). It was outrageous for such a simple task. My frustration is compounded by the fact that I wasted about 2 hours of drive time (30min there and back x2)for this chicanery. They have no sense of urgency and deliver extremely poor customer service.
It seems like their main focus is playing cards.

Read moreMy experience with PowerGamers (also known as Digital Repair Solutions) was everything I could possibly have hoped for. Brian was personable, professional, and thorough. The entire process was both convenient and enjoyable, including the pricing being set up to yield an even dollar amount. My computer now runs better than it did before it broke down.
I brought in a dead and discontinued Intel NUC computer system. Brian accepted the challenge of swapping the existing hard drive and system memory into an equivalent barebone system kit I had purchased on eBay. Little more than an hour after I dropped off a pile of non-working components, Brian texted me a photograph of the running system at a Windows login screen.
PGI/DRS turned what began as a stressful situation, into an immense personal relief. Their labor charges were very reasonable, far less than the typical 'one hour minimum' required by virtually all other local...
Read moreWhen I moved to the area, I was looking for a game shop to play D&D. I found Powergamers and when I walked in, I was immediately greeted with warm personalities and friendly smiles. After chatting with a few people, made a purchase and was told to come back again if I was interested in any other games. I had been wanting to try Magic and the next time I came in, Brian taught me how to play and welcomed me as a new player and helped me get started. There was no stupid question to him and he was genuinely happy to answer my questions. I started coming for the commander nights and I still do. This shop is a great friendly space for beginners and people who have played before and wanna come back into it. There is a great group of people and everyone is so accepting. Whatever the game you wanna play, you can play it at Powergamers and you will find someone to play with...
